REPORT: Trump Discusses New ‘Patriot Party’ As Republicans Capitulate

President Trump reportedly discussed forming a new political party – the Patriot Party – after “feuding” with the Republican establishment.

The Wall Street Journal reported the following in its January 19th piece entitled “Trump Has Discussed Starting a New Political Party”:

President Trump has talked in recent days with associates about forming a new political party, according to people familiar with the matter, an effort to exert continued influence after he leaves the White House.

Mr. Trump discussed the matter with several aides and other people close to him last week, the people said. The president said he would want to call the new party the “Patriot Party,” the people said.

Mr. Trump has feuded in recent days with several Republican leaders including Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R., Ky.), who on Tuesday said Mr. Trump deserved blame for provoking the deadly Jan. 6 riot at the Capitol. Polls show Mr. Trump retains strong support among rank-and-file GOP voters.

It’s time to make a stand once and for all. No more voting for folks just because they have an R next to their name. Vet them and vote accordingly. If we need to wander the wilderness for a few cycles, it’ll be worthwhile in the end.

Thing is, at this point I see no real difference between the great majority of the republican and democrat parties and their overall goals. Frankly no matter which party is in power we end out with the same end. Deep state control and corruption are on both sides of the aisle and people need to quit believing that the republican party can or wants to solve the problems. If they did they wouldn't have thrown Trump under the bus 4 years ago and let the dems keep running him over. I would happily switch to a Patriot party, although I'm not sure Trump is the right person to run it. Sadly our government has become full of evil people that have figured out how many breadcrumbs to toss the serfs in order to keep them quiet.

Yes, entrenchment, packing the courts, printing money, a myriad of destructive social enactments to further consolidate the Left’s power hold...maybe 5 to 7 years of a paper thin facade projected by the main stream media to a world increasingly powerless under China’s thumb. America, with a brewing revolution ready to crack through it’s surface seemingly calm but higher and higher grow the house of cards. The debt will pop. Government will loose control. 1. For the first couple of cycles, conservatives will be shut out completely, and the Dems may get supermajorities as the dust setttles. 2. We still don’t have the fix for the leftists CHEATING at the polls.

The only serious problem is #2. If the election stealing continues, it does not matter who runs.

Yes exactly. No point in voting now that they DEMS GOT THE MEDIA to condemn and shut down any talk of fraud in elections, they got the backing of TWITTER AND FB to ensure the demonizing continues. Wait until the day after the Senate impeachment hearings are finished.

Announce that he’s changing his voter registration to the Constitution Party. It’s established. (Plus, it has a gorgeous logo!)

Then stand back the day after that and watch the mile-long lines at every Clerk’s Office across the nation.

Then watch the GOP establishment crap their pants as they lose 50,000,000 voters.

If you are referring to the new party gaining seats in the congress, what will happen is that the elites will have to deal with them by committee appointments and negotiating with them.

I'm ok with winning seats. I am not thrilled with the possibility of a lot of conservative areas electing a Democrat because Dem gets 40%, Repub gets 30% Patriot Party gets 30%. (This does not apply to states like NY and CT where cross-endorsements for worthwhile candidates is allowed)

And, like it or not, recruitment of candidates WILL be a problem in the short term. This cannot be a vanity vehicle like it was for Perot. If Trump; runs the show, he will need someone talented and trustworthy to help with organization. The Uniparty has stacked the deck at both Fed and state levels. This won't be an 8 year project like it was in 1852 and the fledgling Republican Party.

There may be no political alternatives, as McConnell and McCarthy are worthless on this.
