Trump’s Next Move…The “Patriot Party”

We are the movement…it’s only just beginning…

President Trump has talked in recent days with associates about forming a new political party, according to people familiar with the matter, an effort to exert continued influence after he leaves the White House.

Mr. Trump discussed the matter with several aides and other people close to him last week, the people said. The president said he would want to call the new party the “Patriot Party,” the people said.

Mr. Trump has feuded in recent days with several Republican leaders including Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R., Ky.), who on Tuesday said Mr. Trump deserved blame for provoking the deadly Jan. 6 riot at the Capitol. Polls show Mr. Trump retains strong support among rank-and-file GOP voters.

The White House declined to comment.

What exactly is the GOP doing that makes you want to stick with those losers? They aren't working for you, and it is pretty clear that they could care less what their voters think. Even the Democrats listen to their voters most of the time, even on big issues. The GOP does no such thing - they almost never win big battles and always have excuses ready for why they don't win those big battles. Trump has demonstrated over the past 4 years that the GOP is a pathetic joke of a party, but it is also obvious that they aren't going to change. I don't even know what they stand for anymore as for years they have been terrified of enunciating anything resembling a party platform (I know they have one, though). And, more to the point, this aimless drift has been going on for decades, which is unacceptable. The Democrats are socialists and communists at this point, so it should be quite easy to be on the side of the Constitution and freedom, yet we hear nothing of the sort from these spineless losers.

If you still think you can support these chumps, all the best to you, but don't hate on those that have had it - there is ample reason to dump the party.

My days of being a GOP stooge are over! Trump should get advice from no one on this. He has listened to consistently bad advice for five years. That’s why he’s in the spot he’s in. Go with his gut feeling. Do it!

Left the Republican party a few days ago for I, only regret are my Republican congressmen and state senator both are great people.

But because of the state I live in, anything of higher office my vote will not count.

I am jealous of the states who still have a fair and open election.
