Trump’s Next Move…The “Patriot Party”
We are the movement…it’s only just beginning…
President Trump has talked in recent days with associates about forming a new political party, according to people familiar with the matter, an effort to exert continued influence after he leaves the White House.
Mr. Trump discussed the matter with several aides and other people close to him last week, the people said. The president said he would want to call the new party the “Patriot Party,” the people said.
Mr. Trump has feuded in recent days with several Republican leaders including Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R., Ky.), who on Tuesday said Mr. Trump deserved blame for provoking the deadly Jan. 6 riot at the Capitol. Polls show Mr. Trump retains strong support among rank-and-file GOP voters.
The White House declined to comment.

That’s politics. Start a new party or take complete control of the Republican state parties, there will always be back-stabbers and sharpshooters with whom to contend.

The problem is not open primaries but the weird top two finishers rule in California so that you have two democrats running against each other.
Honestly, if I lived in California, I’d register as a democrat and run as a “Conservative democrat” but wear a dress, wig and high heels to make me immune to critics, couching my conservative positions in liberal pyscho-babble. But that is just me.

I'm conflicted on this.
This may seem odd or perhaps even trivial at first pass...but if we leave the United States to create a new country...we leave behind George Washington, Thomas Jefferson and all the rest of the founders and framers. We leave behind their monuments. We leave behind our overall glorious history (warts and all). We leave behind the Stars and Strips and our national anthem and so forth.
I’d rather see it tied to Principles, not Personalities.

Well they wanted a uniparty. Don’t think this is what they had in mind. American Patriot Party, the APP, want your country back? There’s an APP for that!

President a Trump deserves some time off to play golf.
I am not so much in favor a new party but more interested in burning the old DEM vs GOP down. Identity and generational politics needs to die. Anything that can kill it is good for the country. For now the split between unions and blacks supporting Dems and Christian and constitutionals supporting GOP is so idiotic. It’s control freaks vs free men/women which is a 30/70 split.
No worries! And, AFAIK, the WSJ is definitely not what is used to be. The articles by them seemed to be, more often that not, against Trump with an occasional editorial that wasn’t.

Your conventional wisdom is not going to work. Here's why...you would have to get at least 74 million people to trust some members in the GOP that they wont get beat again like a battered wife. That after the final betrayal which just happened on a huge scale by spineless and cowardly POLITICIANS that have outed themselves.
No, it's time to break free and create our own path.
