CNN is making no mistake about it: It wants to censor and close Newsmax from broadcasting as a cable news channel. Apparently jolted by the fact Newsmax has skyrocketed to become the 4th highest-rated cable news channel in the country, the liberal CNN is decrying what it calls Newsmax's "election denialism" and is seeking to have it "deplatformed" from cable and satellite systems across the nation.

Who watches cable anymore? I watch Newsmax on Pluto. If they ban that, then I will watch it on the app which I just DLed. If they ban that, I will watch on whatever service it uses. What I don’t do is watch CNN.
Fyi, VIETNAM is FAR MORE PRO-USA than CNN is & the Vietnamese PRESS outlets are more likely to be TRUTHFUL, too.

You got to be kidding... more like about half of 1%. I turn it on from time to time to find truth... I find it by believing the exact opposite of what CNN is saying.
Face it, Republican leadership participated in this four year coup and they must be abandoned by their voters because betrayal is in their DNA. A new party is needed because even if the voters push the GOP to victory again they will just pull out their bloody knives and stab us in the back again.

Since the Reagan years the government has essentially not been enforcing enforcing anti-trust laws. There was one major exception, Microsoft in the 1990’s. At that time Bill Gates and his company were apolitical. Microsoft did not lobby and did not give campaign contributions. After Microsoft settled the antitrust action, it began spending big in Washington. Some cynical people might suspect Microsoft reached a size at which politicians wanted a taste from the pot.
The answer to big media and big tech is anti-trust action. Laws are on the books, it is a matter of enforcing them. Trump could have done it if he had made better choices for Attorney General.
Concentrated economic power allied with big government is tyrannical. It is time to break up big corporate entities in every market.
Europe is amazed how fast we here in the US have fallen in just a short time. Germany has called the censorship close to Fascism.

No, they’re making a big mistake about it. Any cable or satellite company that de-platforms Newsmax should lose its subscribers. Cowards and elitists must learn the error of their ways.

Pravda had to spread lies on behalf of the communist government, or face severe punishment.
CNN voluntarily spreads lies, in hopes of getting cushy treatment when the communists they want in power actually get into power.
More likely is that online streaming replaces cable and satellite, rendering CNN less influential and cutting into thr $1B a year it receives in carriage fees.
Yes, Newsmax fills a void, might as well be on them airport screens.
Well, if they are successful in kicking NewMax off of cable that should certainly help along the demise of cable TV as a viable industry.
And is so doing it should hasten the passing of CNN, MSNBC and rest of the Leftist News Cesspool.
The fewer subscribers there are to cable services the less cash flow to the cable news services.
The only thing keeping me paying the exorbitant cable bill is my wife’s addiction to the Hallmark Channel.
Well it is the Communist News Network, after all!
