China's economy grew by 2.3 per cent in 2020, official figures revealed today, making it the only major economy to grow at all during the year of the coronavirus.
The 2.3 per cent expansion was better than experts had predicted and came after China's economy bounced back from the pandemic by exporting medical equipment and seizing market share from struggling rivals.
While much of the world economy is still hampered by resurgent virus outbreaks and resulting strict lockdowns, Beijing claims to have largely brought the virus under control within its own borders following the initial outbreak in Wuhan a year ago.

Yea, I’m absolutely convinced the this was intentional by China as such. Some who say dispute that making noises like “If it was a bio-weapon they would have been designed it better for that purpose” fail to grasp the concept that when you want to kill someone on the sly, you push them out of a high-rise with a suicide note left on table, not 5 bullets to the back of head so it’s obvious to one and all that it was not a suicide.
Yeah, I don’t get the “would have designed it better” argument at all. As an economic weapon, it’s darned near perfect— just deadly enough (to some people) to cause chaos and throw a monkey wrench into the economy but not deadly enough to wipe everyone out. The goal isn’t to kill everyone. That’d be very bad for China’s export business. And, besides, a deadlier virus would, paradoxically be harder to spread. I remember way back at the beginning of this, some media numbskull hoping to take an umpteenth shot at Trump asked Fauci how come the Obama admin handled Ebola so much bette, and to Fauci’s credit, he explained that Ebola was totally different thing. If you’ve got Ebola you’re so severely sick that you’re in no position to be walking around WalMart infecting people.
Actually, China has already figured out that a virus which kills off the elderly and the weak while leaving healthy people, working age people and children relatively unscathed isn’t such a bad thing after all.
It’s hard for most with a Judaeo/Christian mindset of the West to understand the Atheists/humanist mindset of the Chinese Communists. To us, a human life is special, from the Creator. To them it is no different than an insect like an ant. I don’t feel any guilt when I go in into the backyard and exterminate a whole family of fire ants. Neither do the ChiComs when they exterminate a hundred thousand or a million people. They have no guilt/qualms whatsoever about using something like this if it gives them an advantage.
Fixed it for you. Democrats assign zero value to the lives of the unborn. Like-minded thinkers in Europe are already using selective abortion to eliminate those they consider to be defective, and euthanasia to eliminate those on the edges of useful life. Think how much a good mass extinction of the old and weak will save on medical bills and SS payments.
True, humanists openly put out position papers essentially touting how humans are a harmful parasite infestation on the precious Earth Mother and there should only be about 500 million (sustainable), and a mass extermination of the other 7 billion plus would be a “good thing”. Satanic to the core.
