All federal prisons in the United States have been placed on lockdown, with officials aiming to quell any potential violence that could arise behind bars as law enforcement prepares for potentially violent protests across the country in the run-up to President-elect Joe Biden’s inauguration on Wednesday.

The lockdown at more than 120 federal Bureau of Prisons facilities took effect at 12 a.m. Saturday, according to an email to employees from the president of the union representing federal correctional officers.

Most commonly, a prison lockdown means that the inmates must remain within their cells for either an entire day or until a particularly violent situation is resolved. Prison lockdown may sometimes only apply to certain wings or blocks of a penitentiary, though when a full prison lockdown is ordered, the entire facility is affected. A normal lockdown can usually occur for only a certain amount of time, which can be lifted in a matter of hours.

None of this make sense to me also. Their are more troops deploy to DC then after 9-11. Different governors are deploying troops to their capital.

Personally, I think it is a conspiracy between the dems and the MSM to make the “public” (meaning, leftists who will believe anything they hear on “the news”) think that the Trump supporters are planning up some terrorist event for inauguration day. There is likely no such plan or discussion. Even the FBI is trying to stir this up and hoping to attract armed Trump supporters to events at the state capitols. I think and expect that the Trump supporters are too smart to fall for all of these traps, and anything that happens at any of the venues will be purely by Antifa/BLM and/or Soros-backed groups. JMHO
