House Republicans could face investigations and potential removal for their involvement in the Capitol attacks

Democratic leaders from North Carolina’s western-most district are calling for the expulsion of freshman Republican Rep. Madison Cawthorn, alleging his "seditious behavior" helped incite the "insurrection" at the U.S. Capitol last week.

State Democrats from Cawthorn’s 11th District have written a letter to Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi asking for an investigation into the Republican congressman. They claim there was an ethics violation for "violent language" on his Twitter feed leading up to the unrest last week at the Capitol.

"Mr. Cawthorn needs to be held accountable for his seditious behavior...

Pelosi on TV at the moment, and appears to be calling for expulsion of all `147 or so House reps who objected to the states' certifications.

Each House may determine the Rules of its Proceedings, punish its Members for disorderly Behaviour, and, with the Concurrence of two thirds, expel a Member.

Well that's not likely to happen. If every other Repub decided to betray their party here again, they have 288 votes to kick them out. Unfortunately, 2/3 of the House would be 290 votes, so she'd need to convince/bribe/blackmail at least two of these guys to vote to kick themselves out.

The US military is not capable of crushing us here at home even if they brought home and used every soldier, sailor, airman and Marine on earth. And that doesn’t even account for the economy imploding as a direct result and their logistics and suppliers being everywhere completely unprotected.

Not to mention that the military is not very likely to do that. Especially considering that the most Conservative units in the military are your combat arms guys. My last Cav unit, we might have had 2-3 guys who've voted Dem. And that was only the privates fresh from basic with no real military experience. 75% of our B Trp was backwoods redneck guys from NE Texas. Hell, when we went to the field for a couple days, we had guys bringing 55gal drums, a pump, and a pallet to make a shower!

Times have changed the military from that of our day. Clinton brought the "Don't ask, don't tell" Pink Paratroopers and Resident Obama purged patriots for soy-boys, the gender confused and those who'd put loyalty to him over their Oaths. Look at that parade of generals who went squish during the last four years - the fish rots from the head down.

Now the servicemen servicepeople get therapy for "emotional distresses" we used to call good training. Cuddling puppies in a Safe Space. God please help America.

Oh yea I’m not saying the military is anywhere good as it once was! Tech and toys are certainly better, but the huge majority of the people are much softer. But, as I said earlier, there’s a big divide between combat arms and everyone else. My Cav unit was disbanded, and I got thrown into a support battalion. It’s a completely different mindset, with completely different people, many of whom could barely survive out in the field. Most of your actual combat guys are your redneck Trump supporters. Pog units are maybe 60-40 pro-Trump. Once you start getting into staff, I’d guess it’s more 50-50 to 20-80, from the low-level staff up to big guys in the Pentagon.

I am really disappointed that Trump didn’t fix the Obama general purge... That could have made a big difference for us.
