House Republicans could face investigations and potential removal for their involvement in the Capitol attacks
Democratic leaders from North Carolina’s western-most district are calling for the expulsion of freshman Republican Rep. Madison Cawthorn, alleging his "seditious behavior" helped incite the "insurrection" at the U.S. Capitol last week.
State Democrats from Cawthorn’s 11th District have written a letter to Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi asking for an investigation into the Republican congressman. They claim there was an ethics violation for "violent language" on his Twitter feed leading up to the unrest last week at the Capitol.

We always say different things “mean civil war”, but this WOULD lead to civil war. It truly is Casus Belli. If our representatives cannot even argue our case in the legislature, then force is the only option left.
Nancy Pelosi should be careful of these calls for “expulsion” of members of Congress just because there may be some disagreement with the “official” line.
“Official” can change in a heartbeat, and Nancy could just find herself caught on the wrong side of the issue, from the radicals she has already surrendered to.
They have tasted blood, Nancy, and like frenzied sharks, they will turn and feed.
then they will really see violence...
Umm, seems very fascist and undemocratic of Petty Pelosi to me. Shouldn’t the district’s voters make the decision to remove Cawthorn, or any other representative?

I mostly agree with that, but with the caveat that if a charismatic opposition Governor can galvanize the people of a few states and provide a framework of an opposing system in line with values that have been marginalized, that could kick off things a little quicker.
People get a little more courageous if they believe that a legitimate authority is giving them legal cover.
So he runs again and wins, and returns to Congress 3x stronger.
A year ago I would have agreed with you. But I have started believing what I see with my own eyes. A blind man can see the collision coming as though it were two trains barreling straight towards each other. The fuel air mixture is there.
The only thing missing is the spark.

Maybe a gun confiscation would be the spark. Maybe arresting Trump or god forbid... worse.

It’s very close though unless the communists change, and I don;t believe they can because of how passionate their young revolutionaries are.
