Vogue stands by the polarizing cover shot of Kamala Harris, 56, for the fashion bible’s Feb issue....of Harris in her own blazer, jeans and black Converse sneakers; the shot was roundly criticized as “insulting” and “a poor representation of [a] woman of color in power.” Anna Wintour, 71, said “it was absolutely not our intention to, in any way, diminish the importance of Harris’ incredible victory.”
A different image featuring Harris in a pale blue Michael Kors Collection pantsuit was used for Vogue’s digital cover.....
Wintour stated that there was “no formal agreement” about use of the two shots. “We all felt very, very strongly that Harris (in sneakers) really reflected the moment of the most appalling pandemic. And to reflect this tragic moment in global history, we felt a much less formal picture, that was very, very accessible and approachable and real, really reflected the hallmark of the Biden-Harris campaign and everything that they are trying to, and I’m sure will, achieve.”
The day before Harris’ cover leaked, Wintour spoke with the Times’ “Sway” podcast, calling the image “charming and relaxed” as well as “joyful and optimistic.” “I cannot imagine that there’s anyone that really is going to find this cover anything but positive, and an image of a woman in control of her life who’s going to bring us … the leadership, that we so need,” Wintour said at the time. “
Former Vogue editor André Leon Talley also defended the cover. “It’s GREAT. JUST GREAT. GREAT. Harris' work uniform with her ubiquitous Converse sneakers is aspirational. I predict its going to set a trend...all young women are going to dress like Kamala Harris. I wish I was there, at Vogue, to celebrate w/the team,” Talley concluded.

But did you know sap-happy Nancy Pelosi has an impeachment dress?
The NY Post reported that when lawmakers gathered to impeach President Trump for a second time,
Pelosi donned the same black dress she wore for her first Trump Impeachment Gala.
The black business-like frock-——which some likened to funeral garb——immediately caught the eye of Twitter
denizens who realized the look matched Pelosi’s Dec. 2019 impeachment outfit.
“I KNOW this shouldn’t be the focus but Nancy Pelosi in the same dress for both impeachments is the exact kind of
trolling our grandmothers taught us and the exact kind of business I am here for,” Jen Curran quipped.
“The fact that Pelosi wore the same dress to both of trump’s impeachment hearings is so iconic,” Isabell Austin tweeted.
Not only did the dress match, Pelosi opted for the same gold necklace she wore in 2019.
It’s not clear if Pelosi’s shoes matched the dress....but the buzz is “fashion-wise Kamala” offered to let Pelosi wear her black Converse sneakers.
So Vogue has Kamala Harris posing in from of a bed.

Positive propaganda campaign by ideological allies has begun. Just like the Clinton and Obama eras. We will return to platitudes and parsing words. Laws will be passed unread. We’ll be lied to daily by the media to run cover for the people in power.
Casual observers will breathe easily because their political leaders won’t be attacked every hour of the day and they will take that as a sign of a return to normal. A distraction that will let these people act with impunity to undermine our individual rights and weaken America and home and abroad. Their conflicts of interests will be hidden.
With shadow bans and overt actions by Big Tech to quell political discussion it’ll become that much harder for us to organize, communicate and resist their agenda.
