Corporations and industry groups have donated at least $170 million in recent years to Republicans who rejected President-elect Joe Biden's victory over President Donald Trump, according to a new report by a government watchdog group.
The report by Public Citizen examines corporate and trade association contributions made since the 2016 election cycle to the 147 members of Congress who, at Trump's behest, objected to last week's formal certification of November's election.
The top corporate and industry givers to the 147 Republicans detailed in the report include:
- $2 million by the National Association of Realtors.
- $2 million by the National Bankers Association.
- $1.8 million by the National Beer Wholesalers Association.
AT&T and Comcast both suspended contributions to those who voted to overturn the election. Exxon Mobil says it's reviewing its political giving.
Nineteen of the PACs listed in the report each contributed at least $1 million over the past three cycles to congressional Republicans who voted to overturn the election. Meanwhile, 46 of the PACs gave to at least half of the Republican objectors, the report found.

: ) Good post. Thanks.
So is this a good thing?
what am i missing ???
How much did they give to Democrats who rejected Trump’s win in 2016?
It would be more helpful if they gave a list of companies that donated to the terrorist group BLM. I’d like to know where I should avoid spending my money.
Probably plenty.
But these Republicans accomplished the mission for them this time.
Is there anyone who doesn’t realize this is news media doxxing?
CBS is calling out companies which support Trump in any way, so that Antifa can target them.
This is just the beginning of The Purge.
“government watchdog group”
Can you imagine if the same group had done a similar report on how much corporations gave to Dims who rejected President Trump’s in in November 2016??? No. Why? Because they were not trying to “shame” those corporations who gave to Dims who rejected Trump’s 2016 victory.
What the “watchdog group” is trying to do is to set up an “cancel culture” issue against companies that gave to Republicans who backed Trump.
Half the country. They think it’s solid reporting by the media.
NFL gave almost $200 MILLION to BLM support groups.
Unless, of course, they see the light and start pouring money into the demonicRAT Party. Some might call it tribute. Con tribute. Contribute.
Nice little association you have here. Be a shame if something were to happen to it.
Now you know why Nanzi Polizei is one of the few demonicRAT women in Congress who goes by her married name instead of her maiden name.
Her maiden name is D'elassandro (sp?). Her father was supposedly a ruthless mob boss. Is there any other kind?
The cancel culture continues on his supporters.
I think the point is CBS is participating in the creation of an enemies list.
Campaign donations as a form of bribery are also limited because in a con game, if you don't who the mark is, it's you.
That CBS and the Rat Media are pushing this as a crime and this is brought to you by the same people who gave us the Russia Collusion Hoax.
For years.
And what nobody ever realizes is that half of the country supports Trump. More than half. And they don’t believe this nonsense.
How’s twitter doing now that Trump folks are leaving in droves?
There’s always a bank or a shoe store or a sporting goods store or a restaurant chain that will see 150 million potential customers and take the place of the morons that back off.
It’s not a purge. If those companies that donated fold, they are just giving some other company, perhaps a small one, a BIG opportunity
It’s an opportunity
and how much did they give to their opponents???
Funny how fast these “journalists” can slap that number together but cannot locate any evidence of cheating on this last election. I know, they didnt really look or care to look but still...
