The CEO of Covid-19 vaccine maker Moderna warned Wednesday that the coronavirus that has brought world economies to a standstill and overwhelmed hospitals will be around “forever.”
Public health officials and infectious disease experts have said there is a high likelihood that Covid-19 will become an endemic disease, meaning it will become present in communities at all times, though likely at lower levels than it is now.
Moderna CEO Stephane Bancel appeared to agree Wednesday that Covid-19 will become endemic, saying “SARS-CoV-2 is not going away.”
“We are going to live with this virus, we think, forever,” he said during a panel discussion at the JPMorgan Healthcare Conference.

We have this thing called ‘immune system.’ It works pretty well.
Gee would that be like that flu that through some twist of fate just almost disappeared. Vaccines every year and yet they are at best only 30% effective.

I think most people have more common sense than that.
Most will take the vaccine, have no problems with it, and then move on and deal with seasonal ‘flus as they’ve always done.

Three of my buddies went to lunch and all three got Covid at the "saloon".
Ages 65-72. All had different symptoms. Only one had a fever. The oldest has many serious health problems but ALL made it through with flying colors.
The survival rate is 99.9 something.
Open everything up. It should have never been shut down and you don't quarantine well people.

The more positive cases they find....tells me we're a lot closer to herd immunity than they wish to disclose.

I’m more concerned with having to live with liberalism forever, since it is far more dangerous.
I worked for many years with people who did this same kind of work.

Yep and our immune system is impressive, better than any cocktail made for these type of viruses.
This is something we used to learn in school.
Someone upthread spoke of the vaccine being marketed as something to build immunity to the virus. You know what else does that? Exposure. Yet they are doing everything they can to PROLONG the virus.
Had we done nothing at all, this virus would already be in the rear view mirror of mankind.
