Liz Cheney to resign her leadership role in the Republican party after she publicly backed the impeachment of President Trump over the Capitol riots.
“I don’t think she should be the chair of the Republican conference anymore,” Rep. Andy Biggs told Fox News of the third-ranking House Republican.
“The reality is she’s not representing the conference; she’s not representing the Republican ideals,” he said of Cheney’s announcement Tuesday that she would vote to impeach.
“She’s out there advocating for others to join her in impeachment — that is wrong, and I think she should resign,” he said, insisting he was “not alone in that sentiment.”
