The US Attorney for Washington DC has launched a federal excessive force investigation into the death of the Trump-supporting Air Force veteran who was shot dead when rioters breached the US Capitol.
The office of Michael Sherwin, the Acting US Attorney for the District of Columbia, confirmed a formal probe is underway into the shooting death of 35-year-old Ashli Babbitt, according to the New York Times.
Sherwin has assigned his civil rights division to lead the case, which is currently under investigation by both the FBI and the DC Metropolitan Police Department.
Babbit, from San Diego, was shot in the chest by a Capitol police officer while she tried to climb through a window into the congressional chambers as part of the violent mob that broke into the Capitol Wednesday.
She died in hospital several hours later.

Someone told me yesterday that THEY want to establish the modern US version of the Brown Shirts. Might be alluding to the last occupant of the White House aspirations of building a internal security force as well equipped and trained as the military.
Apparently, the days after 06Jan....The days after Ashli Babbitt’s Murder...there were reports of over 60 CPD being injured. Interesting. What a follow-up story won’t tell you is...over 60 CPD going on out disability from injuries and PTSD. Bet on that.
As for the Brown Shirts....that might be their plan. But it will be just as dysfunctional and inept as every other federal agency. Eventually, boggles my mind that it is not now, people will not like this one bit. The Brown Shirts will go somewhere they shouldn’t and it will not end well for them.

It was a black woman that did the shooting
It didn’t look like that in the pix I saw, taken from very close to the shooter. But it’s hard to say...I originally thought the woman shot was Hispanic, because she looked to have darker hair and skin and be much younger in the first photo I saw. She wasn’t, obviously, but other people must have thought this too, since the rumor was that a 16yr old girl had been shot.
Most of these photos have now been disappeared from the internet, but I hope somebody has been saving them.

I have watched the video of the shooting many times. This is what I see:
- hand holding gun, extended, shooter wearing suit, not uniform + cuff links
- aims gun starts squeeze, stops
- flicks safety off
- repositions gun, aims, starts squeeze, gun discharges
This is going over and over in my mind. As a shooter of many years and hundreds of thousands of rounds, this is a deliberate act, not a reflexive act.

Not anonymous. Howard Liebengood is most likely the murderer who killed Ashli Babbitt. Committed suicide or was suicided yesterday. Hardly any news. Other coo died of stroke or a heart attack, they won’t say, but he collapsed at his office.
In addition, HOWARD LIEBENGOOD I believe in the senate armed suit pictures is guy at far left. When you google his name or look at press releases, he was part of senate detail. Now look at pic in video of shooter with muzzle flash compare hair line to web image results, senate door photos and google. Looks like same guy.
The shooter dies, NO INVESTIGATION on Babbitt. Need to look into his politics, his wife’s, any suicide note, texts goodbye, all of it.
We would have had his name 5 days ago if this was a blm antifa unarmed shoot.
