Amid a wave of resignations, onetime ambassador to Germany and acting director of national intelligence came to the defense of his former boss on Friday, arguing the "feeding frenzy" is mostly confined to Washington.
Trump is being judged by the Washington establishment's standard of what makes a good politician, he told Neil Cavuto in a Fox Business interview, and Trump is not a politician.
"I think there is a little bit of a feeding frenzy in Washington, and I just don't see it outside of Washington," he said.
About a dozen top- or mid-level administration officials have resigned this week, including Education Secretary Betsy DeVoss and Transporation Secretary Elaine Chao.
Grenell said he hasn't spoken with any of them and doesn't know their reasons but said he's "very proud of all the work that the Trump administration has done."
"I think that this president has done amazing work," he said. "I think his policies will live for a long time."

I saw this interview. Grenell did a great job. Cavuto behaved just like the a**hole that he is.
Cavuto even asked Grenell that perhaps Trump caused the loss of the election in Louisiana.
At one point, Cavuto interrupted Grennell and to his credit Grenell held up his hand and told Cavuto to hold on a minute.
I can’t stand Cavuto, who is trying to be something he isn’t....which is a great journalist.

Grenell hit the nail right on the head. To politicians and deep state, a non-politician is a threat and considered their enemy
Washington standards: Lies, theft, fraud, and murder.

And to bring up a related point that I have posted on other threads but has never been answered - Has anybody seen Schifty Schiff since Christmas Eve? Does anyone here really believe he could keep his sewer hole shut about the events of this past week?
Grenell is right. Whores don’t like it when a pretty girl sashays thru their sleazy neighborhood, turning heads.
It’s getting to be a small club, isn’t it? I’m trying to go right by all the reading about “politicians” who are screaming bloody murder over recent incidents. People I WOULD NOT have suspected to stab the president in the back. He may or may not be surprised at the number, I don’t know.
Rick Grenell is a standup guy and it shows in his every appearance on TV. I don’t know why he was “acting director” of ANYTHING and not fully in charge at DNI.
We’re going to see such a convergence of old political hacks coming into the new administration that it will make us scream!
So-so-so-so glad that the president is not going to be at the inaugural.. Now I need to hear that the Trumps will not invite the Bidens to the WH before the inaugural. That would be an awful bitter pill to swallow for the Trumps. The idiots are not going to stop complaining anyway so just add another complaint to their list and hope they choke!!!

Actually I did see his nasty visage the other day decrying the assault on the capital by the huns.
Great series minus a certain aspect. Which, like most cases, and it seems like hardly a show goes by without it anymore, does NOT add to the story line other than ‘their’ push the “normalcy” of it. Which ain’t a plus in my view. Surely you know what I mean if you watched the entire series. Perhaps that is one of the many reasons we could be being taught a lesson by someone of Higher Authority?
Looks like we’re finding out who Trump’s true friends are. Grenell is a class act.
