Who does the Capitol Police Chief answer to?
United States Capitol Police ^ | 01-08-2021 | Me

I was wondering who is in the chain of command above the Capitol Police Chief. The answer is the Capitol Police Board.

https://www.uscp.gov/the-department/oversight/capitol-police-board

From the link above:

The Capitol Police Board oversees and supports the United States Capitol Police in its mission, and helps to advance coordination between the Department and the Sergeant at Arms of the House of Representatives and the Sergeant at Arms and Doorkeeper of the Senate, in their law enforcement capacities, and the Congress. Consistent with this purpose, the Capitol Police Board establishes general goals and objectives covering its major functions and operations to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of its operations.

The Capitol Police Board consists of the Sergeant at Arms of the U.S. House of Representatives, the Sergeant at Arms and Doorkeeper of the U.S. Senate, and the Architect of the Capitol. The Chief of the United States Capitol Police serves in an ex-officio non-voting capacity. The Chairmanship alternates annually between the House and Senate Sergeants at Arms.

Here are the members:

Paul D. Irving:

https://www.house.gov/the-house-explained/officers-and-organizations/sergeant-at-arms

From the link above:

The Sergeant at Arms reviews and implements all issues relating to the safety and security of Members of Congress and the Capitol complex. The Sergeant at Arms also coordinates extensively with the U.S. Capitol Police and various intelligence agencies to assess threats against Members of Congress and the Capitol complex.

Michael C. Stenger

https://www.senate.gov/reference/common/person/stenger_michael_c.htm

From the link above:

As chief law enforcement and executive officer of the Senate, the Sergeant at Arms (SAA) enforces rules of the Senate; provides a range of technical and administrative services to Senators in their Washington, D.C., and state offices; and maintains security in the Capitol and Senate office buildings. The SAA organization is comprised of more than 800 personnel.

J. Brett Blanton

https://www.aoc.gov/about-us/history/architects-of-the-capitol/j-brett-blanton

In his role as Architect of the Capitol, Mr. Blanton is responsible for facilities maintenance and operation of the historic U.S. Capitol Building, the care and improvement of more than 570 acres of grounds and the operation and maintenance of 18.4 million square feet of buildings including: the House and Senate Congressional Office Buildings, the Capitol Visitor Center, the Library of Congress Buildings, the U.S. Supreme Court Building, the Thurgood Marshall Federal Judiciary Building and other facilities.

The Chief resigned yesterday.

Who made the call to not fortify the Capitol, especially in light of the Capitol Hill Police having been aware of Antifa's potential infiltration?

The dirty rats of both parties are in full-tilt fever-pitch blaming President Trump. Has anyone asked them the above question?

Everyone who works for government answers to you and me. From now on they need to be made fully aware of that.

You know the rats will never hold hearings on this, because they are right in the middle of it. Pelosi ordered him fired. He resigned, as did the Senate Sergeant-at-Arms. I'm sure they were gotten rid of so they wouldn't be available for any public hearings, which of course the Democrats would never hold on this anyway.

It was a false flag operation designed by the Biden campaign and Valerie Jarrett.

The Chief who had to resign is just collateral damage.Same with Ashli Babbit who was murdered in cold blood by a plain clothes shooter.

And the Dems are in charge of their “investigation” of how it all happened. It will not be an investigation , it will be a cover up.

Capitol police have a bigger budget than Detroit police and they are responsible for only about 2 square miles of the District of Corruption.. Graft must permeate that bunch of blue suits or at least their leaders. jmho

What happened when the leftist mob went to the White House fence as if they were going to charge at the White House like the mob in the French Revolution? What about the burning and desecration of St. John’s church? What about the attempt to tear down the statues? Where was the mayor?

Pelosi called for his resignation; he resigned. She complained that he didn’t call her about needing more staff, so I’m guessing that she’s ultimate authority. The police chief was just the scapegoat.
