Sen. Marco Rubio called for “honest reflection” in the conservative movement on Friday after a group of President Donald Trump’s supporters stormed Capitol Hill on Wednesday.

“For those of us on the center-right of American politics, now is the time that calls for honest reflection,” he said in a video posted to social media.

Rubio reminded Trump supporters that the Republican Party won the House, the Senate, and the White House in 2016 but lost their majorities in all three federal houses of power in four years.

Does Rubio remember Paul Ryan and how he fought Trump every step?

Gonna throw your hat into the ring in 2024, Marco? It’ll be fun watching you get fewer votes than a write-in DJT in the primaries.

With all due respect, Rubio and others would do well to return to their home districts and talk with their voters. Drinking the swamp water in DC right now does not appear to match reality.

People are mad about a very flawed election that has NOT been investigated or even acknowledged.

Rubio won’t get that reading the NYT or Washington Times or listening to CNN.

There appears to be a very severe disconnect between our elected representatives and those of us out here in flyover country.

The conservative movement died in 1988 when Bush #41 squandered the Reagan revolution and bought into war and Free Trade.

I just took some time to do some honest reflecting. I did not see a Republican Party in the reflection in the very near future.

HONEST reflection? HONEST? Really little marco. You wouldn’t know it if you got bit by it. You’ve compromised yourself like most of the swamp. Phu cough.

Why is this being blamed on conservatives when there aren’t any conservatives involved?

When Rubio and his party reflect deeply on their left wing riots and race hate, he can get back to us.

Hey, Little Marco ...

I'll remind you that the Republican Party spent years promising to repeal ObamaCare when they knew they couldn't do it on their own.

The 2017-2018 Congressional session was the first time the GOP had all the power they needed to do this. When you failed to keep your single biggest campaign promise, I knew your stupid political party was going to get wrecked in 2018 and 2020.

If you worked anywhere other than Congress, you would have been fired years ago for incompetence and malfeasance. Go 'eff yourself.

And yet D. Trump received more votes than any Republican ever, at any time. How is that possible?

...White House in 2016 but lost their majorities in all three federal houses of power in four years.

A true statement but primarly as a result of election fraud that was either encouraged or enabled at the state level due to a lack of enforcement of state laws.

Laws have no meaning if they are not enforced. If the state law requires a voter submit a request for a mail in ballot and they send ballots to everyone... then the state is responsible for the failure.

Did he call for an “honest reflection” of the Democrat party and the left after the endless riots last summer? I didn’t think so.
