Yes. Hopefully many here at FR will wake up to the reality that LE is the enemy, and stop all this mindless worship of them. They are basically thuggish mercenaries, selling their services to the highest bidder. They are scum.
The democrats are now using the power of the police against their opponents. No surprise there. Gonna be a long hard battle coming up.

My FRiends here need to stop painting all cops with the same brush. Military as well. There are liberal cops and conservative cops. Both professions tend to lean conservative, but a concerted effort at infiltration has been made by the leftists.
An Uber driver recently called the cops on me because I lowered my mask to drink my coffee (long story). The cop was friendly and deferential, and went out of his way to resolve things amicably. Granted this is Fairfield County CT and the police chief of this particular town is a friend, but you get the idea.
It’s a long road back and I hope to live to see it.
LE becomes the enemy when they put their pensions ahead of their sworn duty. And, yes, there are quite a number of those who fall into that category.
But there are also a hell of a lot who do not, and who take seriously their oaths and really do try to make a difference.
So lumping them all into one basket is not only unfair but silly.
There may very well come a time when a cop saves your ass, or that of a loved one; and I want to see you call that cop “scum” to his or her face.

Sheriffs are elected and follow the constitution and listen to their constituents.

The LEOs were useless in enforcing the election laws in PA, Ar, WI, MI and GA.
The police follow the orders of whoever’s in power. They do not protect rights or people.
The police have routinely protected rioters in Democrat cities for years. Conservatives who think the police would be on their side are delusional.

Agreed, emphasizing that caveat that most of the groups tend to be conservative. But it’s not as overwhelming as many fantasize.
The MIL in particular has a lot of blacks (still predictably slavish to Dems) and others looking for a free education and reliable job. Despite slavish butt-kissing here on FR to the MIL, many are not there for patriotism per se.
And the MIL is the weapon of the state. Be careful playing with fire. Just because Dem enemies say they loathe the MIL, doesn’t make it true. Once they get control of gov, they have control of the MIL, and will use it against you. As all other dictators, they will LOVE the MIL.

It’s actually a mixed bag. You never know what you’re going to get, as with any given bunch of people. They’re just people.
Of course they aren’t all bad, I would say 70% are lousy lowlifes on a paid power trip. The other 30% probably want to do the right thing, and are good people.
