Jared Kushner brokers deal ending Saudi Arabia's fight with Qatar

The move is designed to further isolate Iran

Saudi Arabia and its allies are expected to sign a deal Tuesday officially ending a feud with Qatar in an agreement negotiated by White House senior adviser Jared Kushner, a government official confirmed Monday.

The détente — designed to further isolate Iran — follows a slew of historic Middle East peace deals brokered by the Trump White House in recent months normalizing relations between Israel and some of its Arab neighbors.

Tuesday’s deal will set in motion the end of a four-year-old blockade of Qatar by Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Egypt, and Bahrain who, in 2017, accused Qatar’s leaders of supporting terrorism and aligning itself with Iran.

Kushner helped broker the deal over the past few weeks and flew to Saudi Arabia on Monday to witness the signing at the Gulf Cooperation Council meeting, the official said

Under the agreement, Saudi Arabia will open its airspace to Qatari planes on the condition Qatar Airways drops a $5 billion lawsuit against the four nations seeking damages for the blockade.

The United States’ largest military base in the region is located in Qatar, where it is able to carry out airstrikes against the Islamic State and Taliban, making Washington a victim of the blockade.

Why isn’t Kushner in America strategizing and fighting for his father in law

I personally could not give a tip about the dictatorship of Saudi Arabia. It’s no more free than Iran.

We kuffars are lucky there are both Sunni and Shiite Muslims, and that they hate each other.

One big question in the region is when does Saudi Arabia sign in on the Abraham Accords? Some speculate it’ll be before Trump leaves to allow his administration to take credit. Others argue it’ll be after Biden is sworn in so as not to insult the incoming administration.

One thing is certain. Trump has left a measurable middle east baseline to measure Obama/Kerry Biden against

Yet Obozo got a Nobel Peace Prize.

That President Trump was snubbed for his efforts brokering the historic Abraham Accords while Obama received one for turning the Middle East into a hotbed of tribal violence has made this award totally worthless.

I have been wondering how Jared Kushner got so much ME experience and or negotiating skills. Probably under the tutorage of Pres. Trump.

I have watched the conflict between Israel and the Arab states for years. No president has been able to do anything about it from Carter to Obambi. Now, a businessman gets all these countries to sign deals with Israel.

To bad the Nobel Peace Prize is such a joke after giving it to Arafat and then Obambi for doing nothing. Interestingly, there have been FOUR nominations for Trump as he builds a peace process. Of course, he won't get it, but it would give more credibility to the Nobel Committee.

...why?.. Maybe its part of a plan, one might say “ component” of a larger overall geographic unity.

“ Somehow Ann Coulter thought this guy was useless”

If you think brokering treaties for the dictatorship of Saudi Arabia “makes America great again” , I guess he’s useful

But I don’t consider that useful. I have no more use for the Muslim dictatorship of Saudi Arabia than for the Muslim dictatorship of Iran. Different brands, same level of oppression of dissenters and Christians.

Kushner reportedly headed Trumps re-election team. That means he was in charge of the team that was asleep while the Dems plotted and strategized for more than a year to steal the election

Job 1 was to get Trump re-elected. Kushner was head of that effort and failed. There was nothing to match the years-long war gaming by Democrats plotting to steal the election. While they plotted and planned, he apparently sunned himself in the dictatorship of Saudi Arabia.

The fact that Saudi Arabia and Qatar are signing the deal now probably has to do with positioning themselves for a post Trump world where Biden would be causing them problems instead of helping.

The Saudis and the other Arab nations hate Al Jazeera because it is widely listened to by citizens of their nations and it is not controlled by them. Al Jazeera’s coverage has apparently been an ongoing thorn in the side of all the Arab nations because it offers a story that does not agree with whatever the official narrative is. My guess is Al Jazeera will moderate its coverage of internal Arab issues in Saudi Arabia and other Arab nations. (Similar to what happened to Fox, their ratings will drop. But, they don’t depend on advertising. This may, however, cause other outlets to spring up that are not controlled.)

It appears that Trump is trying to secure a large Arab and Israeli coalition that can handle Iran on its own. Too bad for the Middle East if Trump has to step down. Biden will be as pro-Iranian as Obama and that will further destabilize the political situation as Iran will get enough money again to restart their terrorism across the area.

Well thank goodness! I was really worried about this. Idiots, at this moment, working for this. Maybe that jackass Jared Kushner should be focusing on the emergency in DC.

Iran is actually better for Christians than Saudi Arabia. There are 600 Christian churches in Iran, and somewhere between a half million and a million adherents. Saudi Arabia only allows Christian services in private homes of foreign workers. There's also a small (about 8000) Jewish community in Iran, and none in Saudi Arabia. Even during the Gulf War, the Saudis would only permit Jewish services on American ships, not on their soil.

It’s only measurable by those who care, are able, to read such measurements, grasp their importance. That’s MAYBE 10% of America, and I think that may be generous.
