ROSWELL, N.M. (AP) — U.S. Rep.-elect Yvette Herrell of New Mexico says she’ll be among Republican members of Congress who will formally object on Wednesday to the certification of the Electoral College tally of votes.
Herrell said Thursday on her Facebook page that she would vote against certifying the Electoral College results ... and that it’s her duty as a member of Congress “to ensure that legitimate concerns over the integrity of the presidential election are thoroughly heard and examined.”

I was watching Steve Bannon this morning and Rudy was his guest......Rudy was right when he said these politicians are afraid of what the left will do....(I’m parphrasing) in that they will be harrassed, demeaned and whatever. He said the more Republicans stand up for what’s right, they’ll back down. They can’t go after everybody and he’s right. I know Cornrow (that Senator from Texas....not mine) is a gutless RINO but Ted Cruz better get his butt in gear and support Hawley. The last I heard, and I stand corrected, he’s all by himself in this. I despise these damn RINO’s who are so steeped in corruption that they make the Uni-party possible!!!!

Good for her! But given that she had the election obviously stolen from her in 2018, she has a good personal reason for wanting to do this, as well as any ‘merely’ patriotic ones.

Two months after the presidential election, Trump signs are still present and flags are still flying. Tens of thousands of jobs in New Mexico’s oil patch are on the line if Biden’s Interior secretary is confirmed by the Senate. Haaland is a radical anti-oil and gas activist who has publically stated she wants to protect mother earth by banning fracking and ending O/G leasing on federal lands which comprise almost half of NM oil lands.
What if almost all GOP in house and senate did the same along with several democrats. I’m sure you’ll have several not wanting Biden in office.

The problem is, we only need 1 to object, but 218 to REject.
And even if we had all 200 (I think it’s the old House, could be the new which would be between 209-214 given that the incoming LA guy just died & that seat is open and NY22 STILL hasn’t been called), we would still be between 4-6 short, as Botoxic is not going to allow one single D to vote to reject.

Reminds me of a trial where the perp is guilty from the get-go and everyone knows it who has really been paying attention and the perps lawyer can only shrug his shoulders when he is asked if he wants to rebut.
I'm betting that he does. Cruz seems to be 100% behind Trump lately and was one of those who voted AGAINST overriding Trump's veto of the defense bill.
I think a lot of the senators are waiting until Jan 6 to let their feelings be known. They only need the one objection (along with one from the House) to trigger a debate. This is when Trump's team plans to present the overwhelming evidence of voter fraud.
After the presentation, I see a lot of senators acting "shocked" at the evidence they just saw and then stating that they cannot possibly support Biden being certified president after seeing that and will vote to reject the slates from at least the contested states - putting Biden under the 270 needed to be certified as president.
Of course, they won't really be shocked. They already know full well how that the election was stolen through fraud. But the overwhelming presentation will give them the political cover they need to do the right thing after all.
That's how I see it possibly going down. In order for this strategy to work, it's probably a good idea to do it under cover of seeing the actual presentation (and it should be overwhelming). If they all came out with their objections now, it would simply create chaos leading up to Jan 6. In order to pull this off, it is important that the Democrats do not see this coming.
Of course, those who listen to MSM will be hearing that this simply isn't possible and that there is nothing Trump can do to stop the certification on Jan 6. Of course they would want us to think that so that they can sneak this fraudulent election through and finally be rid of Trump.
