Thursday as part of CNN’s New Year’s Eve coverage, network correspondents Gary and Lindsay Tuchman hit the slopes at Mt. Hood Skibowl in Oregon.
The Tuchmans decided to interview fellow skiers about coming out to ring in the new year on the slopes.
“Can I ask you a quick question? What made you decide to come here New Year’s Eve?” Tuchman asked a skier.
“Oh gosh, just to get out and get some fresh air; be with friends and family,” the skier replied.
Tuchman then shamed the skier for not wearing a mask during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
“You don’t have your mask on,” he noted.
“Oh yeah. … I don’t have it on right now,” the skier said, adding she would put it on when she entered the lodge.
“What I want to quickly point out to you [is] they have very strict measures here. You are supposed to have your mask on,” Tuchman scolded. “I’m not the guardian angel. I’m sorry about that.”
Tuchman moved on to a snowboarder to ask why he was there for New Year’s Eve. The man lowered his mask to respond to Tuchman, who concluded the interview by telling the snowboarder, “Get your mask on, OK?”

The correct answer is “I’m a Democrat politician ....so I don’t have to wear a mask. And, by the way, go F_ck Yourself”.
They’re lucky no one kicked their asses, or helped them ski into the closest tree head-first.
We have the nanny state and now the nanny media. The talking heads are not only political experts but now they are experts on climatology, immunology, medicine, physics and statistical analysis. The only words you’ll never hear them say is “I don’t know”.

I just went to a local REI store today. First I hit a three minute lecture at the door about safety then two other 20 year old epidemiologists lectures me about properly wearing my mask which was properly being worn.
I walked out. Not sure if I’ll ever ship there again.
Masks are useless. Look ar California where masks are in abundance.
Maybe try the patagonia, north face, columbia stores. Their dissertations on mask wearing and saving the erf from “fossil fuel”(?) derived products could be more entertaining. 😱🐖💩😂

Heck, look on the sidewalks, gutters and parking lots. Plenty of masks keeping the asphalt and concrete safe.

I treat mask scolds the same way I treat panhandlers, and I’ve seen similar results. I walk around downtown Houston every day, but I haven’t been approached by a panhandler in years. I don’t think I’ve gotten anything more than the stink eye and a face-point or two from the mask mutaween.
Little insignificant pukes wanting to wield power over you. We will see more of this as they get more brazen
