this is based solely on a tweet by Lin Wood without any verifying post on the @Pence or @VP page. And no such quote in a supposed Politico article either. Misinformation and disinformation makes sorting things more difficult.

Then why would he not have stepped down before the election season?
He knew what was coming.
I have been saying for months that Karen Pence never wanted anything to do with national politics and is more than ready to go home to Indiana. I can’t blame her. However, the very least she could do is encourage him to be loyal enough to his country to do what he needs to do, and stop the Democrats from stealing the election.
Then, he can resign and they can go home.
I suggest she do it quickly too, before somebody resorts to assassination.
If he doesn’t do the right thing January 6th...he WON’T HAVE a future in politics anyway. Might as well go ahead and pull the D-ring.
Either way he is gone so if he has any guts or principle at all he will choose the pathway that does the most good for the most people. If he is a patriot he will make an executive decision in favor of Liberty and the Constitution.

Yes it does per the 25th Amendment: "Whenever there is a vacancy in the office of the Vice President, the President shall nominate a Vice President who shall take office upon confirmation by a majority vote of both Houses of Congress."

I remember some things she was quoted as saying back when Trump selected Pence in 2016. She said then she didn’t like Washington, and she made it very plain that Pence running for President after Trump was not going to happen.
I see no reason to think she has changed her mind.
