Chinese streaming giant Tencent has stopped live broadcasts of games by the NBA’s Philadelphia 76ers in apparent protest at their new president Daryl Morey, who sparked a row by voicing support for Hong Kong protesters last year.
Tencent has been offering text updates only for Sixers games as well as those involving the Houston Rockets, Morey’s former employer. It also refused to screen Rockets games last season.

Glad to see Morey landed on his feet.
Slow Joe and the ho will patch things up soon.
Morey is White, and thus racist.
He will be replaced by Whoopi Goldberg.
Apparently he’s the NBA version of Brad Pitt/Jonah Hill of Moneyball fame.
Daryl Morey has more courage and conviction than all but a very few of our republican U.S. senators.
Where are LeBron and Adam Silver? This is outrageous.
I don’t understand all the NBA ties to China. Why should we care, or be outraged, if 76ers games won’t be broadcast in China?
Preoccupied supplicating to the CCP
Good. I will watch my hometown Sixers, and the rest of the league can go to heck.
Good question. I assume there's a financial aspect: If they don't broadcast the games, the NBA/76ers don't get paid. So I can see why the NBA would be outraged.
I, on the other hand, am not outraged in the least. If they broadcast none of the games nowhere, and nobody gets paid, I'm good.

Let’s just sell them the NBA franchise and ban it from USA.
Guess NBA wanta the CCP to harvest their organs, one day.
Possible, but then there is merchandise - no broadcast = no buzz = no 76er jersey sales.
For that matter, why should anyone care if their games are broadcast in the US?
