FWIW, I just signed on and noticed that Free Republic no longer appears on my list of favorite sites, though I sign onto it every day, often multiple times. My service is provided by SPECTRUM.
The reason I wanted to sign on was to note for the benefit of the word police students at U Michigan that the name of the state is no doubt an Indian word as is the name of the state of Wisconsin, Illinois and many state parks and land sites throughout the midwest.
