An 11-year-old boy on Friday was able to hack into a replica of the Florida state election website and change voting results found there in under 10 minutes during the world’s largest yearly hacking convention, DEFCON 26, organizers of the event said.
The boy, who was identified by DEFCON officials as Emmett Brewer, accessed a replica of the Florida secretary of state’s website. He was one of about 50 children between the ages of 8 and 16 who were taking part in the so-called “DEFCON Voting Machine Hacking Village,” a portion of which allowed kids the chance to manipulate party names, candidate names and vote count totals.

Stupid stunt. A replica ain’t the same as the real thing.
Yep, this about sums up the quality of pbs reporting .....
And the website doesn’t mean anything.
Webster: Replica - a copy, exact in all details
Oxford: Replica - an exact copy or model of something, especially one on a smaller scale.
“...ain’t the same as the real thing”. You iz right, t’ain’t!
So simple, a child could do it!

Absolutely, there is no way these election machines could have been manipulated to change the votes from Trump to Biden.........

We had since the sh*tshow of 2000 to make the American voting system work correctly, streamlined and fraud proof. The left vowed to get revenge and it all started with Moveon.org. I love how people care on our side now.
True but any 11 year old is superior in knowledge to any liberal. He did it on his own in under 10 minutes.
Liberals have been working this for the past 4 years.
DeSantis has done a lot since 2018, and Florida probably had the best elections of all the states this time around.
UH HUH!
Dumb@$$3d remark. You misunderstand the precision of software replication.
Actually, I’m a software engineer. I remember when this “hacking” was first done. The site that was “hacked” was just a facsimile of the front-end, with none of the backend implemented.
