A Spare the Air alert is in effect for the Bay Area on Monday. That means wood burning is banned for a full 24 hours.
Those who ignore the order must either take a “wood smoke awareness course” or pay a $100 fine. Second-time offenses are met with a $500 ticket and that amount increases with each subsequent violation.
On Sunday, air quality in most of the Bay Area was good, though it was moderate in San Francisco, Oakland and Berkeley in the morning due to fine particle pollution. By early evening, most of the North Bay had moderate air quality while the East Bay and San Francisco had returned to the good zone.

I thought it might be a good way for them to earn a few bucks.
Maybe they can trade them for some meth.

So they cut off natural gas.
Now it’s wood.
And you’re left with electric which is subject to brownout/blackout.
Thankfully the area is temperate climate.
When Biden/Harris starts this stuff in the Midwest it’s gonna hurt in winter time.
