Global News has learned the Ontario government is currently planning to implement a provincewide lockdown beginning Christmas Eve.
The announcement is expected to come Monday afternoon at Queen’s Park from Premier Doug Ford.
According to sources briefed on the plans, as of Sunday afternoon, the government was expecting to implement a 28-day lockdown for most of the province, while the north would be subject to a two-week lockdown.

Living in Ontario, we will continue to ignore this fool as much as possible. I voted for Ford - he has been a profound disappointment. He must have craved the approval of the media and the rest of the left, as he has cowered at every opportunity.

I follow a local community page on Facebook and a woman there who says she is a front line worker in Ottawa told people not to fully believe a story like this from the media at this stage in time because they themselves have not been told of a lockdown yet.
It is not without reason that I call your Premier ‘Dick’ Ford.

That’s the fatal flow of all these “conservatives” on both sides of the border. Too weak to stand up to media criticism. Even when the public is against the media and the woke !
Same with Palliser, O’Toole and all RINOs.
They are not leaders.
We are better off if someone who is a known “loner” runs for office. No desire for the acceptance from others - just do what you have to do, do what is right, and let everything else swirl around in its meaningless circles.

In Trump’s case he used media outrage.
Make some “outrageous” statements that are actually common sense and everyone knows is true.
Woke media goes crazy and demands an apology.
Then Trump doubles down with more “outrageous” statements. Media goes crazy again with nothing but wall to wall coverage of Trump’s messaging.
Rinse and repeat. Also, Trump proves he is tough and can stand up against media wokeness.
Compare that with O’Toole on Residential schools.
