You expect Leftist Insanity from U.T. but this is still Texas, even in Leftist Austin.
May God Bless Texas
What’s the frequency, Kenneth??!!
I don’t know what he told power, but he lied his ass off to us.
I am not sure what you are asking me.
Absolutely
Our Marines should have taken him out in So. Vietnam when they had the chance. They knew he was against them and for the communists.
The same thing for Morley Safer (the reported Saigon blackmarket/moneyrates exchange manipulator expert) and possibly Don Webster, all CBS shits.
Hey Don. Heard that you commandeered a jeep and fled the scene of a communist mortar attack, leaving your camera/sound crew behind. That is one reason the 1st Marine Division hated you, right behind Rather the Red.
Sorry I couldn’t get up “north” to learn more but a typhoon wiped out all air and most land travel to II and I Corps in the Fall, 1970. But you were infamous among the Saigon-based honest journalists/press corps.
Tiger Eye, everything you said is correct, but you neglected to include one of the worst, if not the worst, CBS liar and traitor: Walter Cronkite.
Cronkite didn’t spend a lot of time in Vietnam. Mainly in and out trips which don’t allow you to see much of the country, talk to the people, soldiers and US civilians.
Cronkite was reportedly tied up tight with some of the media’s top leftists. Think I saw Drew Pearson’s name on one such list.
You could spend years in Vietnam (and Cambodia and Laos) and still not know half of what you need to know to make a fact-based semi-accurate observation (never mind predictions).
In the end, it came down to one simple sentence/philosophy: We were there to stop Communist aggression. PERIOD
Anything else was either a lie (oil, minerals, lumber) or distorted (we love supporting dictators, etc). Thieu had more support in his elections for president than even Walter Mondale, Gene McCarthy and Comrade George McGovern ever did).
Some time’s Occam’s Razor is the best and most simple/accurate observation/conclusion.
Seriously?
BWA-HA-HA-HA!
Guy literally fired for fake news is giving journalism awards. I wouldn’t be surprised to someday see him and Brian Williams co-hosting an event on integrity in journalism.
There is no history that the left can’t whitewash or rewrite. When you control the channels of communication, you control everything.
Visited the “Moody School” web page linked. I note that they also have a “Cronkite Plaza”. So they have both the grandfather and father of fake journalism as honorees.
Personally, I think the “medal” would better have an image of a steaming pile of bullshit embossed, rather than the lying face of Dan Rather.
Another “We Love Us” award for Fake Newsies.
Named to honor Dan “Fake But Accurate” Rather.
Nah...the “grandfather” was Walter Cronkite, Rather’s “mentor” in news fakeness. BTW, the “Moody School of Fake Journalism” boasts a “Cronkite Plaza” among their complex of buildings.
They need a “Nuts and Sluts” award for the whores of “journalism”.
The Pulitzer Is close enough. Walter Durante got it for ignoring Stalins Ukrainian holodomor “forced famine” in the 30s used to get rid of the Kulaks. Have to break a few million eggs to make an omelette.
Most people don’t realize how long the media has been against us. Only difference is now it’s subtle as Pravda/Isvestia.
Yes, it keeps him from being so irrelevant.
That went over my head. Had to look it up on duckduckgo:
“What’s the Frequency, Kenneth?” is a song by the American alternative rock band R.E.M. from their 1994 album Monster. The song’s title refers to an incident in New York City in 1986, when two then-unknown assailants attacked journalist Dan Rather, while repeating “Kenneth, what is the frequency?”.
I’d never heard of it. I’m a ham radio operator and was never a rock music fan. “frequency” for me probably has a different meaning than to you.
But we both have the same view of Lying Dan and the rest of that era of talking heads. I hated them for what they did to the war and to the direction of the country.
