“What’s the Frequency, Kenneth?” is a song by the American alternative rock band R.E.M. from their 1994 album Monster. The song’s title refers to an incident in New York City in 1986, when two then-unknown assailants attacked journalist Dan Rather, while repeating “Kenneth, what is the frequency?”.
I’d never heard of it. I’m a ham radio operator and was never a rock music fan. “frequency” for me probably has a different meaning than to you.
But we both have the same view of Lying Dan and the rest of that era of talking heads. I hated them for what they did to the war and to the direction of the country.
