Supreme Court Responds to Claim That John Roberts Shouted at Other Justices Over Texas Lawsuit
The Epoch Times ^ | December 18, 2020 | Jack Phillips

A spokesperson for the U.S. Supreme Court disputed a report that claimed Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts shouted at the eight other justices in a room in the high court, urging them not to take up the Texas election lawsuit against four other key states.

As guidance, the court “has been conducting its conferences remotely by phone since March when the building closed due to the pandemic,” a Supreme Court spokesperson told The Epoch Times via email on Friday in response to a question about the claim.

The statement contradicts what a GOP Texas elector, Matt Patrick, said earlier this week, claiming that an anonymous person said that “the Justices went into a closed room” to determine whether to take the Texas lawsuit that was eventually dismissed. Then, according to the elector, “When the Texas case was brought up he said he heard screaming through the walls as Justice Roberts and the other liberal Justices were insisting … afraid of what would happen if they did the right thing.”

The claim also appeared on Hal Turner’s website, sourcing an alleged “clerk for one of the [Supreme Court] justices.” It is unclear where Patrick obtained his information.

“The Justices met in a closed and sealed room, as is standard,” Turner’s website said, citing the alleged Supreme Court whistleblower. “Usually it is very calm, however today we could hear screaming all the way down the hall. They met in person, because they didn’t trust telephonic meeting as secure. Chief Justice Roberts was screaming, ‘Are you going to be responsible for the rioting if we hear this case?'”

Attorney Lin Wood wrote on Twitter this week that Roberts and Justice Stephen Breyer in August discussed how to make sure that Trump “would never be reelected” over the phone.

Yawn, it doesn’t matter, they already ruled. Turn the page it’s over and lets focus on securing two GOP Senate seats in Georgia.

Interesting that the spokesperson isn’t denying that Roberts yelled at the other justices and used the threat of violence to not hear the case. All that is being disputed is that they met in person to discus the case. Since they were all in some kind of teleconference, was that hacked? It certainly could have been. From what is above, this reads as a non-denial of the important facts reported. Only one detail is denied, i.e., that they met in person at SCOTUS. Roberts needs to explain himself here without his usual weaseling.

The only thing about all of this I don’t believe is the justices lack of trust over the secure telephone comms. That is laughable.

I’m starting to doubt Lin Wood is on the side of the truth and that he is just another ambulance-chasing lawyer.

Didn’t even need to be hacked. One of the Justices themselves could have recorded it.

yep. he would have to accomplish something before we could judge his results.

other than a massive boost in his twitter followers and making a bunch of people (more) insane, his list of achievements is empty.

Okay, so they responded to that.

Did they respond to the question of whether it was Chief Justice John Roberts’ name on the Epstein flight manifest, and if so, what did he do to the children on that island?

Any response is a clear admission of guilt...

Since when has the SCOTUS ever lowered itself to respond to any rumor???

As one of 74+ million Trump voters, as far as I’m concerned, John “Elections Have Consequences” Roberts has NO STANDING, and therefore, I will not be considering his case based on any merits or lack thereof.

Didn’t even need to be hacked. One of the Justices themselves could have recorded it.

Since they are working from home, it could be one of their spouses. Imagine that Virginia Thomas over heard the conversation. Why would she not tell someone if she could remain anonymous? Roberts hasn't denied the substance of the story. His PR staff just denied it happened at SCOTUS.

I swear, the rumor/echo chambers going on now are making it IMPOSSIBLE to get information.

I submit that because so much real news is being sensored by the MSM and Big Tech, people are inclined to believe the worst, and with good reason.

Actually, Wood is fighting for honest elections. It will be next to impossible for our senators can win under the current setup. Abrams is bringing millions of ballots in and no way to check, ACLU are working the polls, GOP is being shut out, adjudication numbers are as high as 90% in some counties and and dominion machines are being used again.

He just filed an emergency injunction to stop the election:

@LLinWood

GA Senate runoff based on unlawful 11/3 election. Runoff being conducted in violation of state law with same mail ballot scam & same China-financed Dominion voting machines.

I filed lawsuit today to try to stop GA madness.

Rule of law must be respected.

Or at least name the damned spokesman. I’m dubious about it myself, but the people here are so cranky and negative they believe anonymous sources that fit their gloom and doom narratives just like the hopium bunch does.

This is in addition to his lawsuit docketed at SCOTUS regarding the illegal changes our SOS made to GA election laws.

See post 34 and 36.

He is doing something.

Your narrative is getting old. I see it on every conservative site. Sometimes verbatim.
