The Supreme Court ruled 6-3 on Friday to dismiss a challenge to the Trump administration’s exclusion of undocumented immigrants from the U.S. census, the once-per-decade population count used to allocate House seats among the states.
The decision broke along ideological lines, with the court’s six conservative justices finding that the lawsuit brought by nearly two dozen states was premature. The court’s three more liberal members dissented.

The U.S. Supreme Court dodged a ruling on whether President Trump can exclude undocumented immigrants from a key census count. The opinion said the case was “riddled with contingencies and speculation that impede judicial review.”
“At the end of the day, the standing and ripeness inquiries both lead to the conclusion that judicial resolution of this” case is “premature,” the justices wrote.
The decision leaves open the possibility for Trump to try to remove some undocumented immigrants from the key census count, but immigrant rights advocates warned Friday that they would sue.
“If the Administration actually tries to implement this policy, we’ll sue. Again. And we’ll win,” Dale Ho, director of the ACLU’s voting rights project, said on Twitter.
The per curiam decision relied on the tried and true punting material — standing and ripeness.
And they have a point, considering that no one has actually implemented any policy yet from the Trump administration’s declared effort.

Meaningless decision. They just pushed this down the road, and a Biden administration would just reverse President Trump’s policy and order illegals to be counted. SCOTUS throws conservatives the occasional bone, but the big issues that are destroying America - Abortion, election fraud, Obamacare, DACA - all go the other way.

No, I don’t know what, if any, election fraud cases are in front of them or coming up, but if you read this whole thing, it’s not as huge as though, and in this climate, it’s a pretty cruel joke to post this headline.
They punted. Biden will reverse it.
So as soon as someone is hurt, i.e. poor widdle illegal alien is denied access to whatever they want, then the supremes can take it back up and either support or oppose the Trump agenda.

Exactly what right would be denied Illegal Immigrants by not counting them in the census for apportionment?
Nowhere is it legal for Illegal Immigrants to vote for Federal Offices. Therefore, it can not be a denial of rights if they are not counted in the census.
It’s all about funnelling per capita grants to sanctuary states that encourage illegals, and increasing congressional seats and electoral college votes. The biggest winner would be California.
That’s only because they know Biden/Harris will make drastic changes if they get in.

No. You can be sure Trump would have the census certified by then. He’s already set an end of the year deadline. The 2020 census is a Trump administration prerogative, not Biden’s. That being said, it will probably be challenged again at the SCOTUS.
SCOTUS boots the easy ones too without Roberts “help”.

If Trump ultimately succeeds Sanctuary Cities and States will evaporate like the dew on a sunny June morning.
There will no longer be any political advantage to having Illegals in Democrat strongholds.
The Democrats would still like them to vote illegally but I don’t think that the Dims would find that a big enough reason to put up with the downsides of having thousands of illegals in their cities.

Judges are to rule on lawful law. Nothing more; nothing less.
Jail for judges who take cases they have no jurisdiction of, or rule based on anything but law.
Hanging for judges who commit High Crimes and Treason by aiding enemies domestic, who are at this very moment destroying USA. Our ways, the ways of YHVH (GOD), our lives, our law, our job, our families...

If any changes in census data cause states to lose representation, SCOTUS will take this up again and reverse.
We will find that illegals have more standing with SCOTUS than a US President.
