Spain has legalised euthanasia and assisted suicide for long-suffering patients with incurable diseases.
The Bill, which was backed by Spain's left-wing coalition government and several other parties, passed in a 198-138 vote.
The conservative Popular Party and the far-right Vox party voted 'No'.
The Bill will now continue its legislative journey, facing a vote in the Senate, where it is also expected to pass.
According to the draft of the law approved by the lower house, it will not be put into effect until three months after being published in the government gazette.
'As a society, we cannot remain impassive when faced with the intolerable pain that many people suffer,' Spanish Health Minister Salvador Illa said.
Spain is following the footsteps of Iberian Peninsula neighbour Portugal, whose Parliament approved similar Bills to legalise medic-assisted suicide and euthanasia in February

Maybe China-Joe-Ho and the “leaders” of the commie-rat could go for an extended visit to Spain to gather first hand information on how it works by giving it a go.
I had a close family friend kill himself w a gun bc he couldn’t take the pain of living with Parkinson’s anymore.
IMO, a peaceful assisted end to life is a much more dignified way to go.
Right to Die, quickly turns into Duty to Die.
But not bloggers?
Quite frankly if a euthanasia proposal doesn't include bloggers then I can't support it.
I guess I will be traveling to Spain if I find myself in that situation. I have seen cancer patients first hand in my family suffer till the end in unbelievable agony until the inevitable death, I am too much of a coward to go through that myself.
I see he took a few of your letters with him.
I'm sad for your spelling.

Aren’t those skin tags that old people get incurable? Kill them!
I agree. This is not a ‘one size fits all’ situation.
I’ve had excema since, like, forever.
This sound like a great idea to end the scratching, itching and those annoying creams...
A right to die soon will always become a responsibility to die. Those who refuse, will be seen as selfish. There is no way around this paradox.
Doesn’t surprise me coming from a country whose national sport involves torturing and killing an animal!
Look into supplementing with at least 6 mg of boron a day.
you’re friend could have just stopped eating and especially stop drinking....so he shot himself...better he do it then involve society in it....
In the old days, the guy would lay out a fully loaded mag from the semi-auto, the cleaning supplies, solvent and rags on the table top, and then kill themselves.
The cops would say he “forgot” to check the chamber and died “cleaning his guns”.
I wish we can legalize euthanasia for the long-suffering mental disease of incurable liberalism.
+1 for that idea!
If someone else had to wipe your ass would you expect me to do it? I’d hose you down.
There’s no type of Hospice Care available? Those people are AMAZING. Total SAINTS!
I’m on the ‘slippery slope’ side of this argument. The ‘right to die’ becomes the ‘responsibility to die’ and we Mortals should NOT be playing god.
We used Hospice Care them for my Step-Mom (Breast, then Bone cancer), my Step-Dad (Pancreatic) and most recently I relied on them for my Dad, who died from Salivary Gland cancer after surgery and 6 weeks of daily radiation. It’s a rare and AWFUL form of cancer.
Hospice workers and morphine kept him comfortable and for that I am very grateful, as I couldn’t be with him as he was dying due to Covid. I was able to see him on March 11th - they locked the facility down later that day. He lasted until May.
PLEASE! Let this year be OVER!
