Biden advisers warn Trump mass vaccine timeline may be too optimistic

WASHINGTON - Millions of Americans are watching with anticipation as the first coronavirus vaccines are administered, but doctors advising President-elect Joe Biden are raising concerns that the timeline for widespread distribution may be longer than anticipated.

The team of medical professionals advising Biden are warning internally that the program he will inherit from outgoing President Donald Trump may not live up to expectations of fast and widespread relief. Instead of mass distribution to the general population in the coming months, pandemic-fatigued Americans may find approval delays, distribution disruptions and insufficient quantities.

Getting the vaccine to every American who wants to be vaccinated could take six months or longer, Dr. David Kessler, a former FDA commissioner who has been advising Biden, said in an interview Wednesday on MSNBC.

That is in contrast to the timelines being laid out by Trump administration officials, who have said the general public could start getting the vaccine in late February.

The contrasting timelines could have political implications for Biden. Should distribution take longer than members of Trump’s Operation Warp Speed, or OWS, have projected, Biden’s detractors could try to place the blame on his administration's handling of a program he inherited.

“You have to wonder whether the Trump team is intentionally laying the groundwork for the incoming Biden administration to blow past expectations that couldn’t possibly be met because of the current White House’s incompetence,” said Zac Petkanas, a Democratic strategist who formed a group dedicated to criticizing Trump’s Covid-19 response.

“It would take everything to work right, which is unlikely," said Leslie Dach, a former senior counselor at the Department of Health and Human Services under President Barack Obama. And that’s assuming people want to get vaccinated."

Joe, your advisors are correct. Based upon their recommendations we should keep the President who has had COVID-19 and now has Immunity instead of risking ourselves with an elderly, at risk person who has not had Covid-19.

Yet the “incompetent” Trump admin developed the vaccine in record time. Somethiong experts said would take 2 years.

Where's the contradiction? Start in late February and and take four months. Take off 3-4 weeks for the time between doses and you have three months from the start of general vaccinations to everyone having their first dose.

They are worried that Biden won’t get to do his “Look how I saved us from COVID-19” routine. Too many vaccinations too soon means no 100 days of mask mandate, no new lockdown threats as Spring Break approaches, etc.

Regarding Dr Kessler, although his appointment as FDA commissioner in 1990 by President George H. W. Bush won bipartisan approval, many of Kessler's actions were controversial, and he soon became more popular with Democrats than Republicans.

In one memorable action, he had 24,000 gallons of Citrus Hill orange juice seized because although made from concentrate, it was labeled "fresh." Kessler was reappointed to the post of FDA Commissioner during the administration of Bill Clinton.

Kessler is also known for his role in the FDA's attempt to regulate cigarettes, which resulted in the FDA v. Brown & Williamson Tobacco Corp. case. The Supreme Court ultimately ruled that the FDA did not have the power to enact and enforce the regulations in question.

He was awarded the Public Health Hero award on April 2, 2008, by the UC Berkeley School of Public Health for his work in tobacco regulation.

I agree with Joe for cynical medical reasons.

(Trump has dome a good job. )

Watch Biden slow down the vaccination process because the left and the Dems want to maintain the control over us that the pandemic has given them

Pass out the HCQ and Ivermectin, THE ANTI LEFT SUPER DRUGS

Well worth the read:

HCQ

Ivermectin:

Dosage Chart:

https://www.evms.edu/media/evms_public/departments/internal_medicine/Marik-Covid-Protocol-Summary.pdf

With Ivermectin as prophylaxis, the restaurants and bars all over the country could be opened. But the left wants to remove our Constitutional right of free assembly and free travel.

Its simple really. The fight against these traitors needs to begin seriously.

We have a bunch of genocidal maniacs in Big Pharm, FDA, and NIH running our country!

six vaccine candidates, two approved (with moderna) and the other 4 waiting. Of course it’s going to take some months to get everyone who wants one vaccinated. We do have 350Million people in the US after all. But right now, doses are in the air.

Trump appointed General Gustave Perna back in May, 2020 to lead distribution. And thanks to him and his staff, kits containing alcohol swabs, syringes, PPE and dilutant were pre-positioned in the prior months. Pfitzer has vaccines shipped, staged and under guard by local law enforcement. Vaccinations are already being administered in Tribal areas, medical staff are already being vaccinated, CVS and Walgreens are among 636 pharmacies already processing vaccines for nursing homes they serve. The only distribution hickups have been 2 flats of vaccine that were kept too cold and ‘never made it off the truck’. And that Perna can’t be blamed for.

Biden’s staff (and the MSM) just can’t get over that it’s already being done. It’s happening. Just like Trump said it would. Because it really really really makes Biden and his own rerun leftovers staff look bad over their handling of H1N1. Trump set a high bar - for every part of government - and showed them what real leadership is and what America can accomplish when the red tape is swept away.

NBC and those quoted are the same people who said that a vaccine by the end of the year was not possible. Consider the sources.

There is that word again. “May.” Any news article that is written around words like, “might, may, chance of, could” is at the minimum irresponsible journalism. And it took three idiots to write this article.

So, could be DONE in less time than they predicted as minimum to have a vaccine ready to begin testing?

Talk about kicking the goalposts while being blatantly wrong about everything to this point.
