Rep. Paul Mitchell of Michigan quit the Republican Party on Monday over the GOP’s refusal to admit that President Donald Trump lost the election to President-elect Joe Biden.
Mitchell, in a scathing letter to GOP leaders, wrote that Trump’s baseless claims alleging widespread ballot fraud, and the Republican Party’s tolerance of those claims, threatened “long-term harm to our democracy.”

Good see ya!
Exactly.
He didn’t run for reelection so he’s gone when the next term starts — this is just him showboating and flipping the bird on his way out.
I think he knows he’s toast in 2022.
If the guy was a man, he would had have a townhall. talk to his peeps directly. talk to those who experienced fraud directly.
“Baseless” is the new “fine people on both sides”
Unprincipled, go along to get along. This type of guy would do very well under, say a regime just like the ChiComs.
Okay, fine for him to burn whatever bridges and credibility he has.
Another outed deep stater.
I’ve used his hair products.
Just how much money did Soros put in his Swiss bank account for him to spew out this garbage about “baseless” claims?
Has this fool been to the ballot counting precincts in Detroit over the last few weeks or watched any of the videos or listened to any of the testimonies before the MI state legislature and read the affidavits about massive ballot fraud?
This is a meaningless gesture. He’s retiring at the end of the term, and he waited until the House has already gone into recess for the rest of the term to make this announcement. He will not be on the floor of the House for a single session day as an “independent.”
What a dick this guy is!
WELL BYE!!! RINO!!!
Is this fool on crack? Besides Ted Cruz, name me one other GOP politician who is actively supporting President Trump and his bid to be rightfully reelected.
The Republican party, by their silence, is just as anxious as the Democrats to get rid of Trump.
Voters need to ask for a special election.
LOL, so did I at one time. 8>)
He promised quite awhile ago he wouldn’t run again in 2022. Apparently he’s very wealthy.
