I have to admit I didn’t think that Barr would be such a disappointment. He said all the right platitudes in his speeches to the Federalist Society, etc, but he never carried through with his actions.
Historically he will be judged a bigger failure than Jim Sessions.
Trump is an honorable man, too honorable probably and wanted to make his AG seem beyond reproach and not somebody favoring Trump.

Trump lives in the world of reality. He will push as far and as fast as he can. But when you have a Deep State, you have to be very careful because the threat of violence is always there.
I don’t believe Trump makes bad picks. He makes expedient picks to achieve certain results. Barr got him out of the Mueller investigation. After that, Barr was just tits on a boar-ing bagpipe.
Barr can take those Bagpipes and stick ‘em where the sun don’t shine.

I still think Trump’s biggest mistake was firing Michael Flynn.
