Republicans Pushing Themselves Off the Cliff
American Thinker.com ^ | December 14, 2020 | Brian C. Joondeph

During the 2012 presidential election, the far-left Agenda Project Action Fund produced a video showing vice presidential candidate Paul Ryan pushing granny off the cliff because he had the supposed audacity to propose a sensible budget, rather than the money-tree approach of Democrats.

Instead of becoming vice president, Ryan landed only one step behind the VP in the presidential succession as Speaker of the House. While he didn’t push granny off the cliff, he did push himself and his party off a cliff by undermining the president of his own party as often as he could.

Ryan ended up on the board of Fox News, reportedly wanting to use his position to “do something” about President Trump. It seems other fellow congressional Republicans, including Ryan’s 2012 running mate Mitt Romney, had similar aspirations.

Trump is still president, although his path to a second term is becoming narrower by the day. Establishment Republicans, particularly those of the NeverTrump variety, are eager to “move on” from the 2020 presidential contest, happily accepting the results of a crooked and stolen election, with vague promises of electoral reform and a more favorable outcome in 2024.

Only two-thirds of House Republicans joined in the Texas lawsuit, meaning the other third was happy to send Trump packing, pushing him, and their party off the cliff. If the political parties were reversed, does anyone doubt that 100 percent of Democrat House members would have backed the lawsuit?

Joondeph is always worth the read. Excellent summary of where we are now, and where we’ll be tomorrow should the Dems run the table.

Dems run the table. Yes, I think they will.

Contrary to what I learned in 2nd Grade, cheaters prosper.

Democrats will “make them pay” dearly.

There are more Democrats that crave power than legislative jobs.

Ryan and Romney still want to be president one day and know a worthless Democrat like Biden and cheating is the only path for them. Ryan and Romney couldn’t get elected pie judge at a Polka festival.

In my youth, the Democrats ran the local city and the Republicans ran the suburbs.

In my old age, Democrats will run every jurisdiction.

For years the likes of Hannity, Levin, Limbaugh, Coulter scolded and shamed the base if they hesitated to pull the ‘R’ lever because the candidate in question was a wet-noodle RINO at best, at traitor at worst.

For years, that seemed the best course. However, this year we have seen the RINOs we held our noses and voted for actually take part in the coup to oust the president. I will never vote RINO again (not that it matters if we ever vote again in the Dominion era).

Lefty Dems stupidly encouraged "peaceful protests," looting, arson, defund the police memes
which lost them numerous House seats (Nanzi stupidly promised a gain of 9-10 seats.

Republicans also got a solid redistricting map.

The message that Trump sent out about the left defunding the police and that irresponsible Dems harmed the sacrosanct rule of law was very effective.

Loyal left soldiers.....Antifa and BLM......got bolder, larger and stronger thanks to Dems' enabling words and deeds.

Trump's anti-left message resonated across the land and prompted millions to vote Trump.

Since I think it unlikely that President Trump will be able to prevail in the courts despite obvious massive election fraud, his next course of action needs to be what Robert Barnes has proposed. Complete the takeover of the Republican Party with populist-nationalist candidates for various offices and line up people who are loyal to him to serve in his second administration in 4 years.

2022 needs to be the year of the great RINO hunt. RINOs need to be primaried ruthlessly. Gun grabbing China sellout democrat Mark Kelly has to face reelection in Arizona, Murkowski in Alaska, Rubio in Florida, Richard Burr is retiring in North Carolina (Trump Chief of staff Mark Meadows would be a great candidate), Pat Toomey in Pennsylvania, and of course the entire House faces the voters.

In addition Brian Kemp and Raffensperger need to be purged in Georgia, Attorney General Dave Yost in Ohio, Idaho Attorney General Lawrence Wasden, and Georgia attorney general Chris Carr. We need to mount as many of these scalps as possible on the wall both to get rid of them and so that any others of a like mind get the message.

Also, we need to further strengthen true Conservative media like Newsmax, OANN and platforms such as Parler and Me-We which are at least neutral. 4 years from now Google and Facebook are likely to be far less powerful after the antitrust lawsuits.

Campaign on election integrity. Make the Democrats openly oppose it....or cave in which will make cheating much much harder. Failing that, cheat like crazy next time.......like Republicans learned to do in Orange County.

Foolishness....... the process is dead.

Trump needs to start a new party
_____________________________

Why would he want to do something like that? How would that even work? It wouldn’t. Elections are finished. The deep state has made sure of that.

Too late for such foolishness

Trump needs to call the faithful military to his cause and begin to destroy those who have attempted his destruction.

The electoral process is dead. Thinking a new party will be effective verges on archaic stupidity

Exactly correct, great analogy.

They just want to be popular, even if the guys supplying the beer and girls are mafia killers with plans for their extermination.

You are completely correct. We have suspected this about the GOPe for a long time but it has become undeniably clear during and since the November 3 election. I want a new party.

Should DJT lose, in 10 years the Never-Trumpeters will wish they had not done what they did to the Country, the Election, and to DJT.

If Trump stays in the White House, a new party is needed. Let the RINOs and what’s left of the Democrats merge together. If the deepstate takes the White House, it’s a different ballgame.
