Barr Worked to Keep Hunter Biden Probes from Public View During Election
The Wall Street Journal ^ | 10 Dec 2020 | Sadie Gurman and Rebecca Davis O’Brien

The attorney general knew for months about investigations into Biden’s business and financial dealings

Attorney General William Barr has known about a disparate set of investigations involving Hunter Biden’s business and financial dealings since at least this spring, a person familiar with the matter said, and worked to avoid their public disclosure during the heated election campaign.

Republicans and President Trump have pressed Mr. Barr for months to pursue Mr. Biden, especially as his father, Joe Biden, gained momentum in his ultimately successful bid for president. Mr. Barr has staved off pressure from Republicans in Congress for information into the investigations, the person said, without elaborating on his actions.

One investigation became public this week after federal investigators served a subpoena on Hunter Biden. The subpoena sought detailed financial information in connection with a criminal tax investigation by the U.S. attorney’s office in Delaware, according to people familiar with the matter.

Federal prosecutors in Manhattan had also been looking at Hunter Biden’s business and financial dealings, as part of a broader criminal investigation that two people familiar with the matter described as an international financial investigation that had been going on for at least a year. Hunter Biden is implicated in that investigation but was never a specific target for criminal prosecution, the people said. They declined to provide details on the substance of the probe.

"Another enemy of the Republic!"

Think this through. The WSJ is trying to push the blame onto Barr and thereby divide us, whereas it was the entire MSM, along with the Dems and those treasonous intel creeps (Clapper, Brennan, et al), who claimed it was Russian disinformation, that you should be mad at. This was an old investigation, and for Barr it divulge it at that time, right before the election, would have been unprofessional. "But . . . but . . .but . . . Russia . . . ". Don't blame Barr for the leaks that occurred before he took over.

My word as a Biden bullshit.

And Durham put a Never Trumper in charge. What a coincidence.

"I'm calling deflection BS on this story. It is the MEDIA who didn't report on it, just like they didn't cover election fraud. Now they blame Barr? As if he is supposed to tell everyone what he is doing? Nonsense. Propaganda."

Bravo - beat me to it. We are being played - they are trying to turn us against Barr, who was just playing it straight, rather than focus on Clapper, Brennan, the Dems, and the MSM - the real culprits.

People seem to forget that there was an ongoing FBI investigation into the Trump campaign's dealings with Russia during the 2016 campaign.

What would have happened to Trump's margin of victory had that information been leaked 2 weeks before the election?

Give us a break!

What does a Democrat have to do to be pursued by the DoJ?

Imran Awan
Lois Lerner
Comey
Strzok
Biden’s entire family
Hillary’s entire staff
Loretta Lynch
Swalwell

Sally Yates

Many more

WSJ isn’t exactly a “right wing” news outlet.

#14. You raise good legal procedure points but if Barr knew about the Biden investigations and a possible sitting grand jury looking into possible criminality by any of the Bidens, could Barr have legally/ethically mentioned it BEFORE the presidential primary elections?

He could appoint a Special Counsel right now to see that Justice is done, which is his job, after all.

But, he won’t.

If Barr is a traitor to the USA he will be remembered for 1000 years with the gruesome pics to prove it. But, I’m convinced he’s not just a righteous man, but one that will be revered for an eternity.

What we are living today, is American history. This chapter is a good one. I feel it.

You would have a point except ... the FBI knew about Joe and Hunter Biden’s crimes long before he was the candidate.

I do get the frustration but I genuinely think Barr is a good guy. Not completely in on Trump...but he does do what he thinks is right and follows the law.

All the illegal FISA applications and one guy ... one low level guy ... is the only person to be charged. The guys who signed all those applications with lies in them? All walking free without a worry in the world. Tell me again how Barr does the right thing and isn't political.

Man I actually know a peace corps alum who cried on MLK day liberal who came to our side once he investigated for himself about the unelected admin state and the elites like Soros and Steyr

We were at dinner downtown Nashville ....me and my then girlfriend who was a big music row office manager for someone arguably most influential country music innovator since Hank Sr and my frien d and his wife who I’d know since the 70s

He was literally weepy as he waxed on about King

After dinner my girlfriend who was a west Texas ranchers daughter ...she’s on my history page here....we both were just stunned at that level of what we now call virtue signaling since neither of us were major King fanboys

That gentleman is now green frog right like me

So yes it happens

He is a Sewanee grad....that place will kill ya I swear ...monteagle mountain making lefties since the Highlander Folk School days in the 50s
