Barr Worked to Keep Hunter Biden Probes from Public View During Election
The Wall Street Journal ^ | 10 Dec 2020 | Sadie Gurman and Rebecca Davis O’Brien

The attorney general knew for months about investigations into Biden’s business and financial dealings

Attorney General William Barr has known about a disparate set of investigations involving Hunter Biden’s business and financial dealings since at least this spring, a person familiar with the matter said, and worked to avoid their public disclosure during the heated election campaign.

Republicans and President Trump have pressed Mr. Barr for months to pursue Mr. Biden, especially as his father, Joe Biden, gained momentum in his ultimately successful bid for president. Mr. Barr has staved off pressure from Republicans in Congress for information into the investigations, the person said, without elaborating on his actions.

One investigation became public this week after federal investigators served a subpoena on Hunter Biden. The subpoena sought detailed financial information in connection with a criminal tax investigation by the U.S. attorney’s office in Delaware, according to people familiar with the matter.

Federal prosecutors in Manhattan had also been looking at Hunter Biden’s business and financial dealings, as part of a broader criminal investigation that two people familiar with the matter described as an international financial investigation that had been going on for at least a year. Hunter Biden is implicated in that investigation but was never a specific target for criminal prosecution, the people said. They declined to provide details on the substance of the probe.

So in other words James Comey was more loyal to Trump in 2016 than was Barr in 2020.

Just think. If the FBI/CiA/DoJ had been headed by patriots, there would already have been mass arrests made by now for stealing the election.

Are we allowed to criticized Barr now, or is that still a no-no?

he interfered in it by concealing something citizens have a right to know.

An interesting perspective, to be sure. Just a couple things, though. 1.) No one has a “right” to know everything, and 2.) you and many others knew about it, so why hanker for advertising, especially when words alone are not sufficient in the application of justice?

It would behoove us to read Barr’s own take on his role as AG in this day and age lest our panties launch into a needless twist.

Here is a quote”Smart, ambitious lawyers have sought to amass glory by prosecuting prominent public figures since the Roman Republic. It is utterly unsurprising that prosecutors continue to do so today to the extent the Justice Department’s leaders will permit it. . . . As long as I am Attorney General, we will not.”

Same glowing words and phrases the media used about Comey - they later used to describe Barr.

He’s a Bushie that has been working with the Republican Senate to run out Trump’s term on him.

Simple.

WE PAY THESE PEOPLE, THEY WORK FOR US! Who in the hell do they think they are to conceal information that determines who is worthy of our vote? They don’t want to reveal information that could affect the outcome of an election? That is sick reasoning and it only protects the candidate and party, not the American people. If a candidate is properly vetted during a campaign and questionable information is found THEN THEY SHOULDN’T BE ELECTED, at a minimum it is the people’s decision to determine the importance, not Bill Barr’s.

When you cite the precise criminal code(s) under which Hunter Biden ought to be prosecuted, along with the precise authorities who ought to arrest and prosecute (Hint: It ain’t William P. Barr) then I will cease from calling media attention to the matter “digging up trash.”

Joe diGenova was still praising Barr as of last week. Don’t why he is one of Trumps attorneys, he’s probably passing on information to the other side.

DOJ guidelines inhibit the DOJ from digging up trash just before an election.

People seem to forget that there was an ongoing FBI investigation into the Trump campaign's dealings with Russia during the 2016 campaign.

What would have happened to Trump's margin of victory had that information been leaked 2 weeks before the election?

On the contrary. Barr is the toast of the beltway sewer for obstructing the MAGA agenda and flying top cover on the steal. How soon we forget it was the Barr DOJ that hid the Biden laptop during the impeachment of a POTUS. If that isn’t obstruction of justice nothing is. To this day we would not know about Chicom connections to Biden had Fat Sessions gotten his way and kept the laptop hidden.

Hiding the fact that the FBI had Hunter Biden’s laptop before the impeachment is one of the worst things that Barr and the FBI has ever done.

So he was willing to see this country be turned over to a puppet of China rather then inform the public about the truth. What a worthless shit.

Exactly. I don't understand why anyone would defend him or give him the benefit of the doubt. To my way of thinking he sold out America when he decided to respect "election year sensitivities."
