Update (1555ET): A total of seventeen US states filed a brief at the US Supreme Court on Wednesday in support of Texas's bid to overturn the election results.

First it was Louisiana, then late on Tuesday Eric Schmitt, the Attorney General for Missouri, announced he will join Texas in the battle to Supreme Court.
“Election integrity is central to our republic,” said in a tweet Schmitt. “And I will defend it at every turn. As I have in other cases – I will help lead the effort in support of Texas’ #SCOTUS filing today. Missouri is in the fight.”

As I have in other cases - I will help lead the effort in support of Texas’ #SCOTUS filing today.

“If other states don’t follow the Constitution and if their state legislature isn’t responsible for overseeing their elections … it affects my state,” said Ken Paxton the Texas Attorney General in an interview with Sean Hannity on Tuesday.
Ken Paxton filed a lawsuit last Monday with the U.S. Supreme Court challenging the election procedures conducted in Georgia, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin.
“Our job is to make sure the Constitution is followed and that every vote counts. And in this case, I’m not sure every vote was counted. Not in the right way,” continued Paxton.
I wonder why Ohio, Wyoming and Idaho haven’t joined in.
Uh..no! Bid to expose unconstitutional actions by state officials other than the legislatures in altering election rules.
One of the oral arguments that Texas must make to the Supreme Court is that they are in court to defend and preserve the rights of the Texas legislature to set laws governing elections and to be the final arbiter of elections as defined in the Constitution against all judicial and bureaucratic usurpation. That is their justification to be at the Supreme Court arguing against the criminal, unconstitutional actions of the other states.
This is all about the future of our country. If laws are not followed, why even have a Constitution? These Democrat run States did not follow the Laws for political reasons.
This is getting good!
🙏🙏🙏 🇺🇸 🕊
Apparently the Attorney General of Kentucky tried to join but was blocked by the Governor. Go figure, Beshear is a scumbag.
argument that Senate is how the States are harmed because VP is the tie breaker...and Senate represents States...House represents The People..and with majority not yet known the VP may be playing an important role
I was on the phone this morning with the office of the Nebraska Attorneys General, asking that AG Doug Peterson enjoin this suit. I also contacted every resident of Nebraska on my e-mail list to do likewise, including several state senators of the Nebraska unicameral. I am quite pleased to see that Nebraska gas entered the fray.
When is that SOB up for re-election?
If the United States no longer recognizes it’s own constitutional restraints, then it doesn’t exist anymore.
It’s as simple as that.
Except they haven’t joined the case yet from what i can see. They have filed and amicus brief there are 4 of them 3 for 1 against. One intervention by Trump. He had to bring up the number of votes which are not relevant. The facts are they played with the law continuously prior during and post. while everyone else played by the rules. Facts are all in the case filing.
“...Senate represents States...”
this is in someones brief
dont remember which State
With Texas there are 19, which is 38%. One more, or 20, would make 40%.
The lawsuit is strictly a constitutional complaint. It does not mention fraud as the president's lawyers are alleging. Texas claims the four states violated the electoral clause, due process clause and equal rights clause of the US Constitution by not following their own state legislatures laws set for in their state constitutions. The suit alleges that the election in November was run by rules that weren't sanctioned by their own constitutions.
My guess is that SC will take on the case, rule in Texas' favor and grant relief by instructing the state legislatures in the four defendant states to vote for a new slate of electors themselves because the electors who were certified by each state already are a result of allowing unconstitutional procedures in their elections. There are 62 electoral votes available in these four states.
If the State legislatures can't do this because of whatever reason(s), and neither candidate gets over the 270 electoral votes mark, then the whole thing will be sent to the House to decide. The Republicans hold 27 state delegations in the House and the democRATS, 22 state delegations. Theoretically, the Republicans and, by extension, Trump, would prevail. But things are not so simple when you have RINOs running around in the Congress who hate Trump like democRATS do.
Sue the HECK out of Wisconsin! MAKE IT HURT!
Punch our worthless Governor in the FACE, and ‘pants’ our spawn-of-Satan AG!
I LOVE my State, but our current Socialist Democrat Government SUCKS!
P.S. It’s just temporary - future Governor Rebecca Kleefish will be IN for the WIN come November 8, 2022. :)
Jeeeez! Go Big Red!
