Trump’s lawyers sre saying that the state legislatures can change the means for choosing electors at any time and for any reason. Realistically speaking, however, this scenario or dynamic would only kick in when the official results of the general election for POTUS in a given state clearly appear fraudulent. In such a case the legislature is empowered to: (1) kick ass, (2) take names, (3) cite certain evidence as proof that that state’s POTUS general election results were fraudulently obtained, (4) vote to overturn such results based on such evidence, (5) cite the same or or possibly different evidence as proof that in the absence of such fraud, a specific one of the losers of that general election would instead have been its winner, and (6) vote to install the slate of electors associated with that loser, thereby making that candidate the winner and ensuring that that state’s electoral votes will go to that specific “loser” when the Electoral College meets and votes.
In other words, it is a “fiat” or summary power. A decision by the state legislature to declare a POTUS loser the POTUS winner pursuant to that power is, by definition, final and unreviewable. At the very least, this means that that that decision is not subject to being reversed by any other office-holder in that state, such as the governor or the attorney general, or by any state judge.

I am very sorry if the cold hard truth of my post may have caused you some pain, as your sincere response indicated. However, I am a firm believer that the truth shall set you free, and if it doesn’t kill you, it will only make you stronger.
Trust me, I’m not trying to come off as some sort of sanctimonious ahole who thinks he’s a prophet. I am simply an analyst, who was raised in a house of the Lord, who puts his thoughts down here, both right, and wrong at times.
But back on the subject matter we were discussing, and I’m sure this take may upset some as well, but just look at who will be the most powerful Republican, should Trump be vanquished by his foes.
Mitch McConnell, whether we hold the Senate or not. And Mitch is married to someone whose family is deeply tied into international business at an extremely high level. I’m of course talking about Elaine Chow, who conspicuously hasn’t even taken McConnell’s last name.
Mitch has set the prime example for how to not only coexist with China, but marry it. Literally. It’s brilliant, according to those that believe in this philosophy, and it may very well be why he’s in the position he’s in, over any other reason.
When all the laws were put in place back in the 90’s and early 2000’s that actually gave tax breaks to US companies to move our industries to China, essentially forcing that move, we were told that the goal was to turn China into a capitalistic country, instead of a communist one. Of course the only type of capitalism that can or ever will exist in China is 100% crony capitalism, that keeps the communists in charge.
The flip side, that they knew all along, was that it would move America towards something just as much or more. And that was the transition of our workforce more to mimic China’s slave labor industries, and take the power from our people’s hands. They called it a “service industry” but it is really a “servitude” model. You don’t build anything anymore, you “serve” things, mostly them.
They’re still trying to hide it, and most of us are still in denial. We see flashes of the truth, here and there, but never enough to cause us to unite. At least not until Trump came along. And he started reversing it, basically all of it. He was one of the few American billionaires who had no business in China, because he rightfully saw the CCP as our enemy. He knew those that had fed the baby gator, or dragon in this case, would eventually be consumed by it.
We are on the end of his run perhaps. He has a beautiful family, and wonderful business, and has earned the right to go back to that life one day if he wants, or can. We have to recognize that without him, we may get lost or overrun, and give everything we can NOW to keep him in place.
Because once he’s gone, the internationalists that are otherwise at the top of our government, will go back to our transition to the Chinese model. They’re already trying to silence our first amendment in the MSM and social media. Next will be our second amendment, which is even more important.
Truth and knowledge is power. We must use it to our advantage. We must fight to keep Trump in power. Or should he lose, fight our same fight without him. Make God, Family, and America our focus, and view everything through that lens.
Yes, at some point, you have to consider, which is more dangerous? The enemy you see, or the enemy you mistakenly trust.
I don’t think there’s always a perfect answer. It’s a formula, each time, such as how much power and evil intent does the enemy have, verses how much power and evil intent does the hidden enemy have.
Kemp has shown himself to be the enemy now, without question. He should not be excepted. He needs to be drawn, and quartered, as quickly as possible. That does run the risk of Abrams getting in there, but his continued presence must not be tolerated.
The Georgia Senate races have many pondering this same question now, too, as I’ve seen many from Georgia here on this board express their extreme displeasure with these candidates, and their past performance.
My suggestion is simple, and practical, I think. Squeeze them for everything you can, right now, but vote for them in the end. That seems to have the most upside, both short and long term. The danger though, is that by squeezing them now, it causes too much commotion, and could lead to them losing. Maybe so, but if they won’t do what we ask at the exact moment they NEED our vote, how can we trust them to do what we want AFTER they’ve already gotten it.
I’m not a shrinking violet or avoider of facts.
But the truth is, if the acceptance of that as even a possible truth does not sadden a person, that person cannot be an American or care for this country.
That’s all it is.
Believe me, it wasn’t as if I read your post and suddenly saw the light. I have been seeing it for decades now.
Seeing it and accepting it at any level are two different things.
Of course. I never thought anything different. Just wanted you to know where *I* was coming from.
We will all however have to accept the exact evil that we are facing, for what it is, to be able to put your best fight forward against it.
It is rooted in the love of money, I think. Potentially the root of all evil. It’s no accident all the bank accounts for these politicians have exploded during the rise of China.
So deny them that money. Use it’s power against them. Gather it, herd it, not for yourself, but to keep it away from them.
Don’t buy anything from China, or Amazon. Don’t buy cable TV (see my FR page) or major carrier cell phone packages. Buy food from local farmer’s markets, co-ops, and butchers. If you must go to the store only buy bogo’s or coupon/sale items. Use craiglist and ebay to buy used equipment or tech items. Etc.
Every action, is important. Together, they make a difference.
That is all good advice. It is kind of where I have been going anyway. I have found that trying to determine which products are made in America, and which ones are made in China is not as easy as it seems.
It seems as though that data is carefully hidden, as if (God forbid) someone, for some reason, does not want you to know what country a product was manufactured in. Why would anyone want to obscure that? (I will turn off sarcasm right now)
The truth is, there is really only so much we can do. But we must try to do what we can.
Each time I buy something from the farmer’s market, I meet great people. I get great things.
When I buy from Craigslist (where I have saved a lot of money by the way) I don’t give money to the corporations, even if that product originally came from China, and there is no American alternative.
Those little steps help fulfill me, every time. I get my strength from knowing I at least tried.
