CNBC’s Rick Santelli found himself in the spotlight during Friday’s broadcast of “Squawk Box.”
SORKIN: Rick, I — just — just as a — as a public health and public service announcement for the audience the difference between —
SANTELLI: Wait, wait. First of all, who is this?
SORKIN: …a big box retailer
SANTELLI: Who is this?
SORKIN: Hold on. The difference between — it’s Andrew.
KERNEN: Who else? Who else? Of course.
SORKIN: The difference between a big box retailer, hold on. The difference between a big box retailer and a restaurant or frankly, even a church, are so different it’s unbelievable.
SANTELLI: I disagree, I disagree.
SORKIN: Going into a big box retailer, you’re wearing —
SANTELLI: I disagree. You can have —
SORKIN: — you’re wearing a mask.
SANTELLI: You can have your thoughts and I can have mine.
SORKIN: You’re required to wear a mask.
SANTELLI: I disagree.
SORKIN: It’s science. I’m sorry. It’s science.
SANTELLI: It’s not science.
SORKIN: If you’re wearing a mask, it’s a different story.
SANTELLI: Five-hundred people in Lowes aren’t any safer than 150 people in a restaurant that holds 600. I don’t believe it. Sorry. Don’t believe it.
SORKIN: OK.
(CROSSTALK)
SANTELLI: …where there’s a lot of restaurants that fought back, and they don’t have any problems, and they’re open.
SORKIN: OK, you don’t have to believe it, but let me just say this —
SANTELLI: I don’t and I won’t.
SORKIN: You’re doing a disservice to the viewer because the viewers need to understand it.
SANTELLI: You are doing a disservice
(CROSSTALK)
SANTELLI: — to the viewer. You are. You are.

CNBC’s Rick Santelli’s Chicago Tea Party

This is the first I’ve seen Sorkin. What a cocksure, smug young turk.
Sorkin is actually dangerous. He was one of those pushing credit card companies to deny Gun and Ammo purchases, and MasterCard listened.
Mommas, don’t let her babies grow up to be like this d!ck Sorkin — an effete little androgynous b!tch who wouldn’t know “science” if it kicked his @ss outside the CNBC studio.
You might remember Rick Santelli for "starting" the Tea Party, sort of...
Start about 0:55...Tea Party comment comes just after 2 minutes.
Sorkin is one of the smarmiest jerks I have ever seen on camera, and that takes some doing. Clearly he didn’t believe his own BS - but he stuck to his job of keeping the paranoid in line.
Oh...sorry. I see you already posted the Tea Party vid.
Rick Santelli is my hero.
The viewers are smart but not everyone watches.
Rick is correct... Sorkin is reading from the #DNC script talking points.
We are killing small businesses and restaurants in favor of the big box companies. WHY! I will tell you its about the sales tax revenue the states get from the Big Box stores. They could give a crap about the small businesses.
We also used to be FREE ENOUGH to make decisions on our own.

Santelli should be in the history books!
Certainly Sartell sparked the Tea Party!
He gave them their Thesis for their Entire successful Movement!
What a guy! A Leader among the people.
In the future Mr. Santelli should cite some of the many, many sources of writings and statements by medical professionals that back him up. People can disagree with his disagreement, but it is much harder to dispute medical professionals and real data.
In fact the science says that masks not only do not ‘work’ as advertised but cause a number of other health issues. I’m sure ‘expert’ Fauci and CDC and WHO are keenly aware of this. Not to mention loss of dignity and dehumanizing effects of masks.
And how absolutely cruel all this is to children! Isolation, deprivation of oxygen, inhaling poisonous CO2, risking gum disease from excessive exposure to bacteria to the mouth, and the list goes on.
Anyway, bravo Mr. Rick Santelli.
Santelli’s sharp - started the whole “Tea Party” movement himself by asking the simple question: “why should people have to pay their neighbor’s mortgage when they can’t afford to pay their own?”......
