Former FBI lawyer Kevin Clinesmith’s legal team is pleading with a judge not to send him to prison for lying to secure surveillance orders against President Trump’s 2016 campaign adviser Carter Page.
Clinesmith agreed in August to plead guilty to making false statements when he doctored an email submitted as evidence to the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court.
The discovery was made by US Attorney for Connecticut John Durham’s team reviewing the FBI’s Russia investigation. Durham will serve as a special counsel continuing his work under President-elect Joe Biden.

Perhaps a dedicated facility is warranted.

That should depend on how many others he takes down with his testimony and how important they are. If they get 4 or 5 upper echelon leaders convicted and they get long prison terms, well then this guy should get a break.

25 years in solitary confinement on bread and water seems appropriate.

The fact that no others have been charged based on his evidence shows the fix is in.

Well, he shouldn’t have to go to prison; after all, he doesn’t like Trump, and there haven’t been any such people to be sent to jail or even indicted for over 4 years, absolutely none.
And who would send him?

“Sure you can avoid the Pen. Just give us the organization and the evidence to convict the higher-ups in the conspiracy.” ( The approach the Just Us department never used. )
Otherwise, end his life as a non-felon and his career as a lawyer or government employee.
