Democrat California Gov. Newsom Ignores SCOTUS, Doubles Down on Worship Restrictions
Breitbart ^ | December 01 2020 | PENNY STARR

The United States Supreme Court rebuked Democrat New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo for lockdowns imposed on houses of worship, but Democrat California Gov. Gavin Newsom is ignoring the high court’s lifting of restrictions in New York and is doubling down on his coronavirus lockdowns on religious gatherings.

Newsom has informed the court that his actions are justified by the increase in virus cases and the “perils” of indoor gatherings where people sing or chant.

“California is experiencing an unprecedented surge in COVID-19 cases, creating an even greater public health need for restrictions on prolonged communal gatherings in indoor places,” California Attorney General Xavier Becerra’s office said in a filing opposing a church group’s request for restrictions to be lifted.

This is in my opinion his way to influence the court on the coming Trump SCOTUS trial. If he forces the hand of SCOTUS now they will look worse after the trial.

There is no penalty for Newsom violating a Supreme Court order, so he violates it. Knowing the Dem DOJ has his back.

People who don't believe in the constitution will suspend it for any reason they can.

Laws for thee, not for me.

The law is dead, long live the law.

What we have here is evidence that SCOTUS is a pointless intellectual institution, and that its legal force is illusory.

After all, we are governed with our consent. I withdraw my consent. This is a natural thing to do, nothing at all wrong with doing so, and I view it is a sacred duty.

It's even better that that! Wait, there's more!

The constitutiuon is not suspended, and your right to worship is not affected. The constitution is not a suicide pact.

I point out from time to time that freedom of the press is in NK and CCP constitution too. See, those words are there, and you are therefore free. Well, that combined plus the vote (in a crooked election) is your consent.

From the US DOJ website:
