Senior Australian special forces soldiers drank beer out of the prosthetic leg of a dead Taliban soldier at an unauthorised bar in Afghanistan – with a photograph of the act being revealed for the first time by Guardian Australia.
A number of photographs obtained by the Guardian show one senior soldier – who is still serving – sculling from the leg in an unofficial bar known as the Fat Lady’s Arms, which was set up inside Australia’s special forces base in Tarin Kowt, the capital of Uruzgan province, in 2009.
Another appears to show two soldiers performing a dance with the leg.
The sculling picture is the first to be published that confirms previous reports of the practice of using the leg as a drinking vessel.
Some soldiers say the practice was widely tolerated by officers at high levels and even involved some of them. This was despite the limb potentially being a war trophy – an item Australian soldiers were forbidden to remove from the battlefield, let alone keep.

Prosthetic legs don’t come cheap. My grandfather had a leg amputated due to an old shrapnel wound sustained in 1918 in France. We buried it with him.
So who took care of this dead Taliban’s needs? Soros?

Would you have had a creepy feeling toward your dad if you had seen video of his bullet splattering somebody's skull? Or the effects of mortar/artillery fire he directed, on the receiving end?
War is an ugly business, and some people who experience combat either develop a dark sense of humor about it, or go completely nuts. And they generally don't talk about all their experiences with their wives and daughters.
I could tell you a story about a med student (who also are often under considerable pressure) and what he did with the genitalia of a cadaver he was dissecting, but the Mods probably would not approve.

I’ll also take a poster. Artwork will add a little class to the cave. But Fosters? Too easily confused with that lime infused stuff from Mexico. Least ways it’s claimed to be lime - kinda yellowish though.

I wouldn’t trust any photos right now. The Chinese PLA just got busted circulating a fake photo of an Aussie killing a baby.
I wouldn’t personally do it, but the former owner isn’t suffering, so to the press and those offended, “Wahhhhhh!”
