It's hard for me to believe that Coke can't find another source for sugar besides Chicom slave labor. I guess Nike buys a lot of NYT adverts. These companies have had 4 years notice to adjust their supply chains.

In a report issued in March, the Congressional-Executive Commission on China, a bipartisan group of lawmakers, listed Nike and Coca-Cola as companies suspected of ties to forced labor in Xinjiang, alongside Adidas, Calvin Klein, Campbell Soup Company, Costco, H&M, Patagonia, Tommy Hilfiger and others.

Mmm. Mmm good! Mmm Mmm good! Thats what CCP soups are! Mmmm Mmmm good!

I wonder what Mr.Colin Whinybutt thinks of Nike and their slave labor?

The slaves Nike uses to save money...so they can pay Mr Whinybutt millions.

All of this so he can complain about slavery nearly 200 years ago, whilst profitting from slavery today.

hahahahahaha!

The sugar that Coke gets from far western China is likely bottled for consumption in other parts of China. Trust me that Coca-Cola distributed in the U.S. is bottled in the U.S.

I guess Nike and Coca-Cola didn't get the memo about publicly licking Joek Biden's socks, and putting "a little vig" in the Biden campaign's turnstile.

That would make these mean New Xi Times stories go away...

Nike caring about human rights abuse is a laugh. Shame on anyone who wears, purchases, or gifts a Nike item.

I don’t buy anything from those manufactures anyways, so boycotting them will not change a thing.

Flipping bastards. Corporations and communists are bedfellows, seems like. Both have no regard for human lives. We are all lumps of clay or logs for their fires.

Nike has long been on my do not buy list. Coke on the other will be a new and easy addition. I rarely drink soft drinks.

"including tying Coca-Cola to sugar sourced..."

Doubtful that it is cane sugar, more likely corn syrup.

They don't use it in their sodas in the US.

And there are a lot of other places that grow sugar cane.

Lobbyists have fought to water down some of its provisions, arguing that while they strongly condemn forced labor and current atrocities in Xinjiang, the act’s ambitious requirements could wreak havoc on supply chains that are deeply embedded in China.

Nothing changes.

“Corporate America laid bare its extremist political instincts in the 1930’s and ‘40’s, and beyond. Its proto-fascism was early demonstrated in its support for Hitler long before he became Germany’s fuehrer. Corporate America idealized Nazism as a model for a ‘well-ordered society’”
