Pa. lawmakers go silent after Trump summons them to White House
York Dispatch ^ | November 27, 2020 | William Bender of The Philadelphia Inquirer and Angela Couloumbis of Spotlight PA

President Donald Trump on Wednesday summoned Republican members of the Pennsylvania legislature to the White House after a GOP hearing in Gettysburg in which Trump phoned in to reassert his false claim that he “won Pennsylvania by a lot.”

But on Thursday, no one wanted to talk about the meeting.

The White House did not issue a public statement about the visit, and lawmakers who made the trip to Washington were silent.

President-elect Joe Biden won Pennsylvania and its 20 electoral votes by 80,555 votes, according to the results Secretary of the Commonwealth Kathy Boockvar certified Tuesday. The former vice president is ahead in the national popular vote by about six million votes. Election officials across the country have found no evidence of widespread fraud, as Trump has alleged.

Even with the Biden transition underway, the president is pressing ahead with increasingly desperate attempts to invalidate the election or raise doubt about Biden’s legitimacy as the incoming president.

This shouldn’t be an uphill battle for the Pennsylvania legislature, and it’s not a “process.” All they need to do is select a slate of Trump electors and wave Article II, Section 1, Clause 2 of the U.S. Constitution in the face of anyone who tries to claim that the Legislature lacks the sole authority to do so.

The switching and deleting was likely nationwide. VA is a good place to look for the evidence, but the demon rats have that state buttoned up and in their coat pocket so deeply that truthful investigation is impossible. Demon rats lie, that is their nature from their father, the father of lies.

So then to put a finer point on it the House of Representatives in Pennsylvania is currently moving in the direction of decertification of the vote due to rampant proven fraud and sending its own slate of electors.

And they have been admitting it publicly, not exactly silent.

The authors of these kind of articles are definitely liars in every instance.

The Republican house there has not been silent they have telegraphed their intention to decertify and that means the electoral votes that exist will probably go to trump.

And there will be investigations and criminal referrals mafe for treason and sedition at a state level not just federal.

Me too!! Since a large part of the PA economy is coal related and Biden has stayed that he will kill that industry, it doesn’t make sense.

Are you deliberately ignoring the posts before you that said they will introduce a “resolution,” not a “bill?”

Even more ludicrous.

A resolution has no force of law in PA and Wolf will laugh and ignore it. Not to mention the PA Supreme Court.

“Is there a link of Mastriano and Bannon?”

You can watch re-runs of his programs. Mastriano was in the last half hour of the show.

It says the Republicans went silent, but then:

“We have not yet been made aware of any information that would change the outcome of the election in Michigan and as legislative leaders, we will follow the law and follow the normal process regarding Michigan’s electors, just as we have said throughout this election,” Senate Majority Leader Mike Shirkey and House Speaker Lee Chatfield said in a joint statement.

They are silent because of what was revealed to them.

Classified material that implicates communist China and our own CIA. The type of information that convinces people in-the-know that Biden cannot under any circumstances be allowed to take power.

Listen carefully to what Trump has said repeatedly. He will NOT allow America to fall under socialism.

I am convinced that the Supreme Court will save the day. The alternative is Marshal Law and civil war under the Insurrection Act. Either way, the USA as we know will forever be changed, hopefully with the death of the Democrat Party.

The governor has no constitutional authority to send any electors anywhere—he might as well send them to the North Korea politboro.

The Twelfth Amendment is very clear—the power to send electors belongs to the state legislature, and only to the state legislature.

The power of the legislature to choose electors is in the Twelfth Amendment.

No-one and no law can change that.

That power will be confirmed in the US Supreme Court if necessary.

Their power to do this resides in the US Constitution and cannot be abridged.

And SCOTUS has ruled that power must be exercised within the framework of their state constitution, which in PA means they have to pass a bill and have it signed by the governor.

See Smiley vs. Holm..

Isn’t a resolution more of a “suggestion “ an “advisory note”? How can it have any authority over the electors or the certification Or is it part of a larger legal tactic??

“I have a real hard time believing Joe won PA.”

You should, I have a hard time believing Abraham Lincoln shot himself in the back of the head.

That decision can be overturned—imho it is unconstitutional—we will find out if this Supreme Court agrees.

You cannot bind yourself to slavery—or a fraudulent election.

Hello PA lawmakers.. This is what we have on you.. This is what we have on your governor. Let us remind you of your oath. Good day...?

That's what I was thinking.

“This is a load of crap, State Sen. Doug Mastriano was just on Bannon’s show about a half hour ago. They are revved and ready to roll.”

Devil’s advocate viewpoint:

So what? Mastriano IS NOT a member of the leadership, who, as you may note in the “news” article, did not attend.

He can say all the soothing things he wants, but if the “leadership” doesn’t want something brought forward, it will die.
