The Trump administration is rushing to make a number of federal regulatory changes before President-elect Joe Biden takes office on January 20, ProPublica reported on Wednesday. One of those changes, proposed by the Department of Justice, would allow some federal death-row inmates to be executed by means other than lethal injection. Many states allow for electrocution or a firing squad if lethal injection is not available or if another method is preferred by the prisoner.
How about torture until death for all violent offenders getting the death penalty?
Torture and murder was more than fine for an innocent, so it’s far more than fine for their own death.
It can’t be “cruel and unusual” if they did it to an innocent.
The firing squad gets my vote if it will provide for citizen volunteer participation, something that is not available in the other execution methods.

Having said that, if an obvious crime has been committed, and the decision is the death penalty, there is no reason to delay that act with endless appeals that generally go nowhere.

I am assuming that a federal regulation instituted by Trump could be un-instituted by the next administration.
That would be a nice touch. They say Yellow Mama was constructed by an inmate and painted it with readily available “yellow line” street paint to reduce costs.

The first guy executed after the fed ban on executions in the ‘70s was a murderer named Gary Gilmore. He specifically requested to die by firing squad, and his request was granted.
How is bleeding out in pain more humane?
