The U.S. Embassy returned to Somalia just last year, 28 years after diplomats and staffers fled.

We are going to instill in them a love of democracy, respect for their constitution, and a respect for law and order. Well, heck, we cannot even do this in our country and we have a history of trying to do this.
When would be, according to the “experts”, the best possible time to leave Somalia? No more nation building fiascos!
Let our so called European allies take a shot at it. We’re done. We need to get out of Afghanistan too. Today.

I guess the next move would be to pull Somalia out of the United States.
Somalia is a barren shithole and always will be. It is in constant turmoil with different clans trying to take power. Any food and supplies that is sent over there is immediately confiscated by the clans. I know because I was there for six months during Project Hope in 1982. The US tried to help the people but it was in vain.
