If you refuse to wear a mask in Miami Beach this holiday weekend, you may now face a fine.

Starting on Wednesday until Sunday, the City of Miami Beach will issue citations to people who refuse to wear facial coverings....

Violators who refuse to put on a mask after being offered one will face a $50 fine...

On Wednesday, [Governor] DeSantis extended the executive order [that prohibits cities from collecting mask mandate penalties], but Miami Beach will continue to move forward with enforcement of face coverings in popular commercial areas...

Miami Beach said it’s still moving forward and will collect the fines once the governor’s order expires. It’s a plan other municipalities are keeping a close eye on.

Funny. When I read this I knowing how truly revealing some of the Miami Beach bikinis are you just know some statuesque south Florida goddess could pull this off wearing it as a thong bikini.

I was in south beach area earlier this week. I passed the convention center for several days, each day there were a thousand people lined up and cars wrapped around the block. Most of the folks in line were laughing, taking selfies and carrying on, and folks sitting alone in their cars with mask on. Why? They were there for Covid testing to run up the numbers up on DeSantis to force the governor’s hand to do another statewide mask mandate. I witnessed it first hand how the left is pushing their agenda.

I wear if it very infrequently. I refuse to put it on outside. I will wait until entering the store to put it on and I remove it before leaving. (What are they gonna do, kick me out?)

I had to withdraw a good sum of cash from the bank yesterday,
when I went a few months ago they limited the number of customers inside. We have no ‘mandate’ in my state.

But yesterday as I came in the door to this very large bank named after our country, there was a lady with a mask.

‘do you have a mask?’

No

‘let me give you a mask...’

No.

‘I’m sorry, but you can’t enter without a face covering.’

I’m here to withdraw more cash than you will dispense through the drive-thu. Are you saying I can’t get my money?

‘no sir, it’s just that you have to wear a face covering?’

Can the bank make me do other things? What about hopping on one foot? Does the charter of the bank permit it to choose what I have to do first?

Ok, I have a wool cap. I’ll hold that over my face. Good enough?

I was glared at by every manager and tin-pot dictator in the joint. I did my business, thanked for their hospitality and left.

A year ago, wearing a mask into a bank could get one shot.

I don’t know about Miami Beach...but I have a good friend, a cop for city of Miami who tells me that in no way will they enforce this, on the street....

A couple of weeks back my wife and I went to Leftist bastion called Provincetown, and this is what we saw on the street:

These people are deranged. It seemed like there was a mask every 20 feet or so, sometimes less.

I saw these signs, and I am not wearing a mask outside. Not doing it.

If a restaurant or store requires one, I will put one on if I want to go in, or I won't go in. I don't wear it for protection, I just don't want to make some persons life difficult who is just trying to make a living and someone calls their boss or the police because I wasn't wearing a mask.

But I won't wear one outside. I was the only one not wearing a mask.

I resolved that if they were going to arrest me or fine me, then they were going to have to do that.

I did have a Freeper tell me that perhaps I should re-think ending up in jail in Provincetown...not the place a straight guy wants to be.

I have seen the flu data. From ~week 15 it essentially disappeared. The case data “spike” is because of a rush to test with a bogus test that the federal money runs out on at the end of December. After that it will cost you $115.Kind of hard to pay for that when you are unemployed with no health insurance.

The end result of all the required masking will be what? The authorities collect some fines & the virus marches on at the same speed; no more & no less. You’d think folks would learn something after awhile. There’s plenty of info out there; it just has to be read.
