California may be we may be hitting rock bottom sooner than I thought, thanks to Newsom, Mayor Garcetti, and L.A.’s newly elected district attorney, George Gascón. George Gascón is a proud supporter of both BLM and Antifa. He is a far-left progressive and one of many District Attorneys who has enjoyed the generous patronage of George Soros. He thinks looting is reparations. His policies are a complete enshrinement of BLM demands: defund police, stop arresting criminals, and close down the jails, because they’re racist. The only people he plans to target for arrest are cops, of course, and innocent people guilty of things like home self-defense, white privilege, and insufficient public wokeness.
In other words, George Gascón is the disease—and the cure. Once he takes a wrecking ball to public safety, Lord help us all. The popsicle sticks and chewing gum holding this place together won’t stand a chance. It is about to get real ugly, real fast.

I voted for Jackie Lacy, and wonder if there was something funny going on.
If even part of this story is really happening, then that line is accurate. The Old West had vigilante justice and family vengeance for crime until stabilized by relatively equal justice and sheriffs. We are now going quickly in the other direction. The New Old West.
Yeah, but whitey....
Democrat policies kill black people and destroy the inner cities and beyond.
It’s hard to understand the black adherence to voting Democrat, but then again maybe I do.
Some of it results from race baiting, but I have a relative who cares deeply about her investments, tax policy, etc. She thinks lots of leftist policies are “crazy” - her own words. But every election, she finds a reason to vote democrat. It’s like a religion.
At least someone else shares my belief that Californians should now be allowed to spread their cancerous politics outside our state.
It’s the Wild West but the sheriff only disarms the good guys. Just like in many movies about the old West.
This is all being done for drug cartels. Follow the drug money, there’s a lot of it.
Proofreading is our friend.
You don't get a revolution until a non-trivial part of the elite decide they've had enough, and take the side of the enough ordinary people, providing the organization and the coordinated wealth the people lack.
If His Fraudulency is allowed to take the oath of office, what should happen is that state governments need to be pressured in no uncertain terms to start nullifying the one-party state's edicts. We already see that with some sheriffs or counties refusing to enforce despotic COVID lockdowns. That needs to spread. And when the business elites start pressing the state governments to leave or go along with the Party, they need serious pushback, as in being arrested for extortion if they threaten economic retaliation for states that won't knuckle under. Make Harris have to try calling out the army to get his edicts enforced.
The only alternative is a campaign of targeted violence to heat up the repression to the point that it triggers open, violent rebellion, such as Interior Department and FBI offices and vehicles being burned.
Yup—LA is going to be Juarez West.
I’m so glad I got out of California.
I have a good friend who is against abortion, against gay marriage, and goes to a Baptist church, but he still votes Democrat almost always. Sigh.
They can no longer blame orange man bad. Now it’s white man bad.
Peachy, when u say “I hate guns”, that says sumpthin about you to the vast majority of real Texans. Speaking as just one, I invite you to stay in Kalifornia because Texas already has to many of you guys!
In the Sacketts movie Tom Selleck was pressured by the actor who played Animal House's Dean Wormer to go along with his rampant corruption and marry his daughter, running for office as a bought candidate under the boss's thumb. Bullets finally settled it instead of ballots.
[He thinks looting is reparations]
That should work really well after the stores are emptied, boarded-up, no new businesses open due to the crime, all while the COVID thing ravages retail.
Yeah, this will end well. Really, really well.
[But every election, she finds a reason to vote democrat. It’s like a religion.]
Or cult?
A truth that is not pointed out often enough. Imagine the cartels’ dream government for the land where they make most of their sales and it looks just about exactly like the Deep State’s vision for America. They already have a significant number of Senators on both sides bought and paid for.
I escaped last year. And will be bringing a UHaul with me when I finally get the last of the stuff that was put in storage. I am so happy to be gone.
So far at least 5 of my friends have actually moved this year, with many more actively talking about leaving.
For years my tagline was “Will the last responsible person to leave California please turn out the lights.”
Ironically PG & E has been doing just that and giving much more incentive to those that are considering an exit plan.
I see you've been reading up on Moldbug.
The masses never revolt, only the disaffected elites... with the help of the masses.
I noticed this with the Net Neutrality issue. It was one of the few issues that actually stayed around for a while. And this was only because there were elites on both sides and not just piled up on one side as is normally the case. The distributors on one side and the content providers on the other. That's the only reason why there ever was a debate... to which the masses were invited to chime in so as to join forces under one of the groups of elites.
If/when they decide to impose carbon taxes, or the even more asinine idea of a market in carbon credits, there will be no debate as all of the elites will be piled up on one side.
