Twitter suspends Sidney Powell after she shared link about rigged voting machines

November 23, 2020 (LifeSiteNews) – Twitter suspended unofficial Trump lawyer Sidney Powell for twelve hours over the weekend over a link she shared about voting machine software companies alleged to be involved in presidential election irregularities. The suspension happened amid sudden confusion over Powell’s actual role in President Donald Trump’s efforts to contest the preliminary election results.

Breitbart reports that former Trump National Security Advisor Gen. Michael Flynn, whom Powell previously represented, confirmed the news of the Twitter suspension Sunday. The reason for Powell’s suspension has not been confirmed, but appears to have stemmed from her sharing a link to an article purporting to connect voting technology companies Dominion, Sequoia, and Smartmatic to the Chinese Communist Party.

Powell’s suspension coincides with apparent divisions between Powell and the rest of Trump’s legal team. Despite Powell appearing alongside Trump lawyers Rudy Giuliani and Jenna Ellis at a campaign press conference last week, the campaign released a statement Sunday declaring without elaboration, that “Sidney Powell is practicing law on her own. She is not a member of the Trump Legal Team. She is also not a lawyer for the President in his personal capacity.”

The statement followed an interview Powell gave Newsmax the day before, during which she made several unsubstantiated claims well beyond the Trump campaign’s official arguments. Among them were an insinuation that Georgia Republican Gov. Brian Kemp has been bought off by Dominion, and a claim that Democrats rigged Dominion machines to steal the 2016 presidential nomination for Hillary Clinton and bought the silence of socialist Sen. Bernie Sanders about it (Clinton, of course, went on to lose 2016 to Trump).

The Washington Examiner adds that “sources close to the president” said Powell did not share her evidence on machine vote-switching with either the campaign or the White House, and have grown frustrated that her allegations have overshadowed concerns over more traditional, and provable, forms of election fraud.

Others, such as Population Research Institute founder Steven Mosher, dispute the idea that Sunday’s announcement represented a division between Powell and Trump, and instead maintain that the Sunday statement merely clarified Powell’s status as an independent actor. Further compounding the mixed messages, Ellis herself subsequently shared Powell’s own statement to that effect:

tweeter:I agree with the statement today. I will represent /#WeThePeople and seek the Truth. I intend to expose all the fraud and let the chips fall where they may. We will not allow the foundations of this great Republic to be destroyed by abject fraud."

Former Vice President Joe Biden has been unofficially declared the winner of the presidential race (pending official certification by all fifty states), but the Trump campaign maintains that it has identified more than twice the number of ballots nationwide necessary to erase Biden’s presumptive margin of victory.

What's that they say about knowing you're over the target when you start taking flak?

Because Twitter is the front line trench, where the direct confrontation with the enemy takes place.

Parler is the secure safe-place HQ away from all of the ideological combat. It is an echo chamber. Trolls are ground into dust the moment they pop up their heads.

True, we may reach few on twitter, but we get some to think.

Whatever way this goes, I will be off of twitter in the next few weeks.

I believe this is the link Sidney Powell posted; I posted it on Parler saying "This will get you banned for 12 hours on Twitter" after a FReeper reported that happened and some more had to test it! Yes! You get banned 12 hours.

The link Between Dominion, Sequoia, Smartmatic, and the CCP

Twitter - you can give either your phone number OR your email to sign up. I chose to give my email, as I created an account specifically for spam.
Parker - you have to give your phone number; it’s not optional. And they send a code in a text, so you can’t give a non existing phone number. Many people refuse to give their phone number.

“There are alternatives...”

Yepp. And she will be filing her case in court ... a great forum to do her talking ... let the news media decide whether they want to cover it.

Has Sidney filed a case in Georgia yet? Hard to “blow up the state” of she doesn’t file a case.

Twitter should be considered an enemy of the United States. Do not give aid and comfort to the enemy.

While I support Parlor, too many conservatives miss the point. It is ridiculous to say there are options! Twitter reaches billions of people. It is currently able to stomp first amendment free speech due to its sheer size. Parlor is not even close and have the disadvatage of being targeted by these monsters. Until you are reaching billions of people and Parlor os a necessity to do business, they are not comparable. Twitter needsnto be forced to allow free speech, broken up or shut DOWN. It and various other sm monsters is a threat to the republic.

I think is it very much a conservative idea to let the market work it out. If enough conservatives just leave Twitter and go to Parler, then Parler will grow to rival Twitter. Same thing applies to FB. Besides, the first amendment applies to government suppressing free speech. Twitter is not a branch of the government. Does Twitter censor? Hell yes but we don’t have to put up with it. We can take the ball and play on another field that is not stacked against us.

You use Parler to connect with conservatives who have moved to Parler.

You use Twitter for connecting with the rest of the world.

Government cannot restrict your speech.
Government cannot (or, is not supposed to) infringe your right to keep and bear arms.

But business can. Your employer can. I consider our form of government to be Fascism. An alliance of Big Government and Big Business. Eisenhower spoke of the Military-Industrial Complex and a lot of people thought, “Defense companies are out of control!” but the point is really that Big Business and Big Government form a combination that is antithetical to personal freedom.

We now have a society under tight control. Some of that control is from the government. But government is constrained in how much control it can legally exert. Much of our current social control actually comes from businesses. And there is very little we can do to say to a company “That’s tyranny! The Constitution says you can’t do that!” That’s not an option for us.

The only real option is to go support another business. But the Left always seems to succeed in taking over the “good’ businesses. What would William F. Buckley think of today’s National Review?

It’s an insidious problem.

I disagrre. It is an insane idea to allow the free market to work out a clear and present danger to our free market of ideas and our elections. It is not a level playing field. Taking thenball and going to another platform is fine, bit you are preaching to the choir. These are entities that have become too big, too powerful and dangerous to liberty. The Government has a clear role to play here just as it has with monopolies in the past...to allow for healthy competition to sprout up. Right now, ifbyoi are running a business you simply have to use these platforms. Not an option. That being the case, they need to allow free speech or be stomped. They are dangerously interfering with our elections and voices. Play fair or be broken up. Until there is a viable option.

I do not disagree with what you said. Our only viable option is to support other businesses. That, IMHO, is the essence of what it means to be a conservative. The only thing I will add about National Review is yes, Buckley is most likely spinning in his grave but also likely is the magazine/website will eventually go the way of the Weekly Standard. In other words, the free market will once again prevail.
